After watching that interview, I concluded that folks can stop wishing for him to choose a conservative veep.

He clearly stated he wanted someone that shared his “principles and priorities” and someone who would “carry on his agenda” in the event he could not complete his term in office.

You're right. The difference between McCain & the leftist Democrats is this. McCain thinks America was an evil, diabolical place until the 1960s. But thanks to all those liberal movements during that decade, America became a tolerable place to live. We still have to do more (amnesty, for example), but we're on the path to multicultural utopia. We should continue down that path, and also invade some other countries if that's what's necessary to make them into “multicultural democracies” just like us.

The Democrats think America is still an evil, pathetic place. Yes, the sixties radicals helped correct some of the Founding Fathers’ wickedness, but really, America is just too depraved to ever be an example for anyone. We therefore should just wreck the entirety of Western Civilization as fast as possible and be done with it. We shouldn't invade other countries, or even defend ourselves.

And that tells me that if he picks Romney for VP, he knows that Romney has flipped back to an open borders harlot.

If McCain is seriously going through 40 names of possible VP choices, then many of these choices, like it or not, are probably also conservative choices for VP. McCain truly knows that he can seriously still lose the general election without enough conservatives voting for him. How many conservatives do truly end up voting for McCain on November 4 is anybody’s guess at this point in time. It truly continues to be painful for conservatives to not really have any major conservative candidates for POTUS to both support and vote for in ‘08. God help the U.S.!

He clearly stated he wanted someone that shared his “principles and priorities” ...

I hope there aren't two of those!
