I've been wondering where all that campaign money is coming from.
I think donations under $250 do not have to be disclosed (name, address, occupation) in FEC filings. Obama says his average donation was $97...but he raised $40 MILLION in March. That's a LOT of small donations.
How hard would it be for someone in---oh, let's say, Nigeria---to create a computer program to wire small amounts to a campaign? Month after month, 24/7, under computer generated names.
If there's no disclosure, how would it get caught?
Just asking. I read that Obama rarely has to attend fundraisers like other pols. He only attended ONE fundraiser in February. This internet thing seems to work quite well for him.
Does Obama hold a second passport that we are not supposed to know about? Could he have traveled of an Indonesian or a Kenyan Passport? He has connections in both places.

To put it quite simply, ‘mengaji classes’ are not something that a non practicing or so-called moderate Muslim family would ever send their child to. To put this in a Christian context, this is something above and beyond simply enrolling your child in Sunday school classes.”
“The fact that Obama had attended mengaji classes is well known in Indonesia and has left many there wondering just when Obama is going to come out of the closet.”
“As I’ve stated before, the evidence seems to quite clearly show that both Ann Dunham and her husband Lolo Soetoro Mangunharjo were in fact devout Muslims themselves and they raised their son as such.”

Why wouldn't he? He has already cited his time living in Indonesia as a young child as foreign policy experience.
I’m sure that quite a few people here are obsessed with Pakistan, but I think that the fact that Obama argued that he travelled to 80 countries qualifies him to be President. I backpacked across Europe when I was in college, but that doesn’t qualify me as a foreign policy expert.
I really hope that Obama tries to use that in the debate with McCain, because that’s basically a fast ball down the center just ready for a grand slam (akin to There You Go Again or You’re No Jack Kennedy). McCain mentioned it in his book... To paraphrase McCain’s answer... Senator, as a military brat and a member of the navy, I’ve been all over the U.S. and the world. That’s what we military people do, we travel all over in defense of freedom. In fact, before I was forty, the longest I’ve been in one place was in this town called Hanoi. (The debate audience probably gives him a standing ovation at this point).
Obama's mom just took her kids sightseeing in one of the most the beautiful parts of the world. As to why she was there in the first place, I agree with the poster who commented that she seemed to be everwhere except raising her children.
Freepers can get silly some times, they give Obama too much credit, IMHO. Some sort of sleeper cell member, all the way back from the 80s. He was just backpacking with his eccentric Mom.
You know, it doesn't. Foreign policy being a separate field of study.
It's akin to saying, well, I go to the disco every Saturday, I can be profesional dancer.
That said, traveling to other countries is a positive attribute in a Presidential candidate, especially travel as an ordinary citizen, not as say, First Lady. Helps to understand the world and how others relate to America.
I've always felt that Americans, as a whole, don't get out much.

Yep, but I sure hope that isn’t the only qualification. Apparently, Obama’s main argument is that he’s more qualified than McCain or Clinton because he’s travelled as a private citizen. This would qualify many college students to be President. (I don’t know about you, but when I was studying abroad I was looking for the best party (aka where the alcohol was), not the socioeconomic and political trends in said country. Considering Obama’s youth, I’m sure he was much the same).
Moreover, I really truly hope that Obama uses this line of reasoning in the fall. It’s a fastball down the middle for McCain. As a Navy brat and fighter pilot, McCain has spent quite a bit of time abroad. And I don’t think that Obama really wants to debate McCain on time spent in souteast Asia during the late 1960s and early 1970s. In fact, I’d recommend that the Obama campaign make anything before 1980 off limits.
Yeah, I think you got it. He wanted to frame this Pakistan and Hyderabad trip with a positive spin. Some call Hyderabad, the “Last outpost of Muslim power in India”, btw.
Obama demanded the clinton’s papers and taxes, I think it would be much more wise if we got to see the stamps on his passport.
Why would a poor college student visit a place like Pakistan? Especially in 1981, when, early in the year,March 2, Pakistani’s Airways 720 was taken over at gunpoint by three men during an internal flight from Karachi to Peshawar. Yet this kid decided to spend his money to vacation there-—that very muslim, city full of Taliban warriors exiled from Afghanistan? Weren’t there restriction on travel to that country, at that time?
This has got to be investigated. Who did he travel with. What was the name of the family he visited? Where is the college friend now?
It’s like when he came to Indiana not long ago, his first visit, he went to one place..Plainfield IN. The kids they interviewed were gushing, oh gosh, he is coming here, wondering why this little town. It’s the home of the Muslin Brotherhood.

His mom was in Indonesia at the time. It was 1981. Trying to find out what the climate was in Pakistan that year. The Pakistani’s Airways Boeing 720 was taken over at gunpoint by three men during an internal flight from Karachi to Peshawar on 2 March.
So, again, why would this be a vacation destination for a young man. No girls, no clubs. No music, No booze. No Movies....This is Muslim land. 3 weeks would be a long time living this way, if you were not a muslim. His friend’s family was clearly muslim.
He didn’t sight see with his Mum. He went with a “friend”. His campaign put out the details. Said he visited with his mom and sister in Indonesia, then went with a college friend to his native Karachi Pakistan and stayed 3 weeks there...then traveled to Hyderabad India. Odd choices for a Christian American I think. But perfect choices for a young Muslim.

I assume this is before he met Wright. But, I don’t know that Obama has ever converted to Christianity. He attended a white hating, America bashing church; very similar in ideology to Islamic terrorists. He and his wife’s comments and actions back up the idea that he is in fact a muslim on jihad.
One magazine reported that Wright was also a “former muslim”....well, the nation of Islam killed even Malcom X for not being muslim enough in their eyes. Why would they allow these apostates to stay alive, mingle with them, and accept their “Christian” award; unless there were some sort of Jihad happening?
