Thanks... that worked better than the redirect. Groovy.
That’s OK Ted Kennedy will report him to the Russians if he says anything under the new Democratic Administration.
Bump for later read!
Any thoughts?
One of the great questions of our time. We may never know.
I know you were interested in this raid at the time...heads up.
The incompetence of US government propaganda operations in this war has been staggering - I'm not sure any government at war has ever been so cowardly, so unable to structure and press home a narrative, in the history of the world.
And don't start going on about the MSM - there's a reason FDR signed EO 8985 on December 19, 1941, establishing press censorship for the duration, and why he signed EO 9182 on June 14, 1942 creating a 24/7 government propaganda operation.
I postulated back at the beginning that there might be some pretty good reasons not to push the reality of the WMD story, and to go on and let the world believe, at least for a while, that it was all a big mistake.
First of all... it was put out that Saddam's Iraq had something on the order of 10,000 munitions depots spread all hither and yon. It wasn't possible to know for sure which ones (if any) contained WMD until they were found and inventoried. This alone could have taken months if not years. The last thing we'd want to do would have been to make it a footrace between us and Al queda to see who can dig up chemical warheads first. Better if they didn't think there was anything to find.
I don't know if that's true, but it sure makes a lot of sense.
With regard to WMD being secreted across the border to Syria... if we make a big splash to prove that we know they have them, likewise, it would make them that much more slippery to find. A smart play would be to let them think we don't know where they are while we quietly get our ducks in a row and, oh, I dunno... arrange for airstrikes to go in and smithereenify the works. All at once.
Altogether not a bad plan if that's indeed what it was. The only downside is taking a lot of heat from our own side, but if you don't really care what they think of you... you can deal with it and let history be written later, confident that you're doing the right thing.
Bad advice....Bad White House PR operation.... and just didn’t want to take on the screamers in the media and punditry..
Assad’s sister’s husband (officer, General if I recall) apparently had Mugniyeh whacked.
The location of the hit tells us of help from inside the Syrian regime.
If Saddam's WMD were sent to Syria, then they would have a signature, correct?
Didn't Israel get samples before their hit, and state that it was NK nuke materials?
I'm sooooo confused, lol.
Whoa...
THIS should be interesting!
Yes there were WMDs
I have a freakin ulcer over the MSM's 'Bush Lied, People Died' mantra.
I want vindication.
For our soldiers, for Iraqis, for our cause - freedom and liberty.
9/6, for me, was the flashpoint that we'd won.
the RivetJoint aircraft tasked with monitoring the strike on Syria...and probably used to measure what chemicals were in the smoke from the resulting fire. It was flying back to Offutt AFB from over the Atlantic, and needed help with the weather, as they were flying around some severe thunderstorms in the Midwest.
It's all about the Falafal

Excellent post.
You forget there will be campaign where a vice presidential candidate or other surrogate can directly accuse the leadership and the rat candidate of gross incompetance while pointing to not only the new info but reams and reams of ignored info.
The msm will have no choice but to report the story.
