“t=dKE=m=(W>P or WP and decel = W>P]. Thus “time” is a quantum movie because of the temporary imbalance between the 2 great languages of complementarity, the wave-particle duality. not-t=PE=M=(W=P) is the other formula.”

Very impressive but you left out the fluctuating Daylight-Savings time(DST)constant.

>>The question is, how, within physical terms, does God do it?

Simple, He is God!

I said in physical terms, not in metaphysical.

On the other hand, on occasion one can combine the two.

Apes, chimps, and other primates closely related to humans have an extra, 13th rib. Somewhere along the line, as brute, ape-like creature evolved into civilized humankind, that rib was lost.

And what does Genesis say? That woman, who is man's civilizing influence, was created out of an extra rib.

Whether God directed the alteration or is a more of the deist conception -- creating the process of the universe and letting it run -- the Bible makes it clear that humans were create out of a more ape-like species.

Since the Bible doesn't give every detail, we cannot rely on it for every scientific answer. But it tells enough for us to know we can look to science to learn how God does His work.

The Lord Jesus Christ created it all and He is holding it all together

No, God the Father, not Jesus, created it all more than 2000 years ago. Remember the BC and AD? The earth and all on it were created before Jesus was born onto it.

Here's your cure for cancer:

"If one of you is ill, he should send for the elders of the church, and they must anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord and pray over him. The prayer of faith will save the sick man and the Lord will raise him up again; and if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven. So confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, and this will cure you; the heartfelt prayer of a good man works very powerfully." (James 5:13).

Of course, back then, there was not as much specialization. A religious elder was as likely or not to be as gifted in medicine as theology. These days, with so much more knowledge, one has to specialize. Therefore the elders we must see are MDs, particularly those specializing in oncology.

Even today, topical administration of medication (i.e., annointing) is one way in which medication is delivered. Oral and rectal administration the only other ways available. Now, of course, we also have injection and, occasionally, surgical implantation.

It's interesting to note that what with medication prescribed to be given just so often, in just so much of a dose, over such-and-such a period of time, medicine takes on the nature of a ritual. Toss in the fact that often the instructions are written at least partially in Latin, and it takes on a certain religious flavor.

As for prayer and confession, it's no secret that a patient's mindset plays a role in the success of a course of medical treatment. A person who is upbeat and believes they will be cured is more likely to recover than a person who is pessimistic and does not expect to recover.

Furthermore, thanking God that we are a species capable of learning how to cure ourselves is certainly appropriate. A combination of education and faith gives me every confidence that diseases that exist today will be cured, if not in my time, than in that of my children or grandchildren.

We do God no service, however, if we do not use the intelligence He endowed us with and the medications and medical procedures that we have discovered. To rely on prayer alone or on "faith" "healing" is a rejection of His gift of human intelligence. To treat such a gift as so much rubbish is a grave insult to Him.

They have put in some big pipes across the Atlantic to allow grad students in NY and the east coast access to the data.

So they can have a NYC pizza and a Budweisers.

He came up with his theory to explain why mass disappears as matter is broken down to its smallest constituent parts

Isn't that because they are getting smaller? After all, we now think that the neutrino has mass.

If you break it down further, you do get the "Duran Particle" - which has no mas.

That's not correct. Chimps don't have 13 ribs. Sorry.

“A man with one watch knows what time it is, a man with two watches is never quite sure...” Clocks are devices that use Kinetic Energy, from some higher to lower Potential Energy level, at some rate. Your dial setting is purely human-arbitrary. In England they have 5 or more atomic clocks based upon number of vibrations/sec to keep “accurate time”. Even they wander off from each other w/o a master/slave linkup. So the timekeeper there suggested turning all but one of them off to save cooling energy.

Thus, you have to overcome the idea that there is an absolute “time” that can be measured. Time is a variable of Kinetic Energy release of over running/under running matter wavelength vs particle velocity. t=dKE=m or time is inertial mass or gravitational mass. Throw a baseball between your hands, you’re throwing matter wave force back and forth : accel is P>W and decel is W>P. Deceleration and weight are the same thing : over running matter wave Force.

Einstein bitterly resisted DeBroglie’s matter wave concept(spooky action at a distance)and thus died in 1955 still not knowing what time is. DeBroglie’s equations : Lambda(wavelength of fermion waves) = h/mv. That means matter waves(half of your physical existence)are some 20 orders of magnitude shorter than your visual 4000 to 7700 A light wavelengths. You don’t SEE them, you feel them as accel/decel in your sense of touch(haptics), your body is your “time-eye”...

DeBroglies equation for wave speed is U = C^2/v which blew Einstein’s mind, so they came up with this hokey group/phase cover story, and tried to make DeBroglie a “crazy aunt alice”, hopng he’d be forgotten, only vaguely referred to as the “wavefunction”. And hoping you’d think “wavefunction” meant EM waves.

The “marriage” equation is E=mc^2=hw where h is Planck’s quantum and w DeBroglie’s wave number. For fermions this means matter waves as flux-linking explains faster-than-light linked photons(the spooky action)and why the sun’s gravitational attraction on the earth isn’t 8 minutes c-retarded, it’s .001655 sec at 9 x 10^16 km/sec.

Matter waves, find a physics book and study up on them, they explain what time and gravity really are.

My source is This article, from Discover Magazine on vestigial organs:

THIRTEENTH RIB

Our closest cousins, chimpanzees and gorillas, have an extra set of ribs. Most of us have 12, but 8 percent of adults have the extras.

If I'm incorrect, I stand corrected. However, this article is now all over the web.

“It’s time to go, Higgs”

Way back when, T.V. had these marvelous shows on like Twilight Zone, Outer Limits and some smaller productions; one evening my sister and I were watching one where the main character was locked in a hotel room and a disembodied voice kept saying, “It’s time to go, Higgens” as an incessant knock occurred menacingly on the secured door.

Higgins, a worn, nondescript man caught between 55 and 70 stood frantic inside his suffocating confines, made mad by the knocking and the constant demands, he ran first here and there, taking turns holding his ears to keep out the voice and what it portended while sweating profusely and growing more fitful as the ticking clock counted down.

He began to shout and call for the intruder to go away; he turned up the radio; he talked first to himself then to the fear; in his panic he paced back and forth and up and down until finally he crumpled to the floor and then lay there in a heap.

The intruder rattled the door and knew that his prey had surrendered; with the crack of metal and wood renting the sudden silence the door burst forth and in walked two men - the superintendant called from his furnace duty and a very confused and apparently scared taxi cab driver in a floppy hat.

They stood there for a moment and the driver bent down and placed his cheek against the lifeless body and said that he was dead.

The last scene shows the coroner and his aides preparing the body’s removal as the cameras pans in on the form in the coroner’s hand:

DEATH CERTIFICATE CITY OF NEW YORK
CAUSE OF DEATH: Heart Attack - died of apparent fright

Are you suggesting that we evolved for apes? If so, I would have one question, if we did, then how come there are still apes?

It is the ultimate stretch of the ego to call something the “God particle” and then to claim you found it.

I’ve stated on past threads that I personally don’t care what particles they find. I tend to think that as long as they look, they will find new and more exotic ones.

Does it really matter if the universe is made of protons and electrons and bosons or whatever or if the universe is made of Legos?

My theory is that the universe is made of legos. And what’s interesting is not what a particular lego is all about, but what happens when you put a bunch of legos in a bag, shake it up, and pour it out.

No doubt learning about the building blocks is important. But if you have a standard brick, you can use it to build a firehouse, or a doghouse, or use it to line your sidewalk, or even a fireplace.

We don’t have the mathematics or the physics yet (or the computational power or the epistemology or heuristics) to actually make a determination.

But to decide to invent something before you find it and then call it the “God particle” like it was the Oracle at Delphi or something seems to me to be one of the shallowest things I ever heard.

My great-grandparents immigrated from Germany and became Americans. So how come there are still Germans?
