Check out the website for Baltimore City Public School system, and click on the link for school websites. There are about 25 links there. Then go back and click on Alphabetical listing of all schools. There must be close to 100 on the second list.

The 25 schools with websites are the best in the city, and are providing good educations in general. The other 75 are marginal to awful.

The citizens of Maryland promoted the mayor of Baltimore to the governorship. So much for accountability!

For three-quarters of the public schools not even to have a functioning website in 2008 is a good indication of the attitude of too many employees of the system: “It’s not my job.”

The schools with websites have principals and parents who are interested and involved.
