The Greenstone Media network went out of business. Some of
its affiliates stuck with women’s programming though;
I think they peaked at about 8 affiliates in huge
metropolises like Beverly MA and Burlington VT. One
former affiliate http://www.eve1070.com/

Air America has been reduced to Al Franken shouting out of a 2nd story window...

The Air America roll call in one of the most liberal areas of the country:
VERMONT: WTWK 1070/1390—OFF (now women’s talk). Still on
WKVT 1490 Brattleboro

NEW HAMP: Never had an AAR affiliate
MASS.: Was on WKOX 1200, WXKS 1430 Boston—now both Spanish language. A flop in BOSTON?!?
Still on 3 small stations in western part of state

RI: OFF air at WHJJ 920 Prov., now conservative talk again.
“The Air America experiment is a failure” admitted their
program director.

ME: OFF air at WLVP 870, now ESPN sports
CT: OFF air at WHAZ 1300, now ESPN sports

In 2004 Jon Sinton of Air America predicted “in five years
we’ll be on 500 stations” (or was it 600?). I think they’re
on a few dozen right now, a year short of his prediction

there is no way whatsoever for AAR to ever succeed. even liberals can't listen to pessimistic wackos ranting day after day about every little thing that's wrong about everything.

there is simply no market for liberal crap

My sister, who has a degree, and brother in law, who has a PhD, think this woman is great. Last weekend we ended up in a “discussion” about the war, the causes of 9/11 (she thought it was Bush). I ended up leaving abruptly and next day emailed 2 articles by and about Mansoor Ijaz. My sister finally emailed me back and told she read them even though they were from “right wing web sites” and said she had never heard of any of this before. She had no idea, apparently, that Clinton had turned down getting our hands on OBL about 4 times. She figured this was all Bush’s fault because Clinton had “warned” Bush.

So the truth hit her in the face and now she is figuring that there is blame to go around (Mansoor Ijaz is too credible for anyone to dispute) but she still hates “what Bush and Cheney have done to our country”. I haven’t bothered to point out that until she quits driving that it’s hypocrisy to be against the war “for oil”.

One thing we have agreed on however is our extreme dislike of Hillary. We both agreed that what Rani Rhodes called Hillary was true. The enemy of my enemy....sort of.

"We will soon announce exciting new talent and programming that will accelerate Air America’s growth in the future.
LOL, accelerate growth??? They never had any growth."

I think they're negotiating to have Franken read South Park scripts over radio, or maybe it was "Animal Kingdom"...

I’ve caught Randi a couple of times. I have been listening to talk radio since the 1980’s when it was ALL liberal. I have heard crude humor but nothing like what I heard on her show. It was not just that it was crude. It was beyond sophomoric. It was in the genre of beavis and butt-head. It was not even entertaining.

I could not believe such a hack was allowed the radio podium.

I must admit I thought they were off now.

I’ll have to go back to 1090 (in seattle) to see if they are still on in seattle.

Now that she’s chosen to resign, she’ll be able to spend all her time trying to pull the size 14 boot out of her ass...
