Burden of proof -- Clinton counts on delegate math

By Salena Zito TRIBUNE-REVIEW Sunday, April 13, 2008

Every other story written by journalists across the country gives a spreadsheet of reasons why Hillary Clinton should step out of the Democrats' campaign. Yet in the public's eye, there she stands as though she has not a care in the world.

One reason may be that the party's super-delegates who remain uncommitted have an unspoken burden of proof to determine whether this race goes on or not. So far, they have not exercised their superpowers.

They aren’t going anywhere. They can smell that third term.

I'm going to make a far out prediction: Hillary will quit the NYS Senate shortly. She'll say that it's because she feels that running for President requires too much time away from the chambers and it is unfair to New Yorkers.

But there are a whole lot of real reasons for her to quit:

1st: Tighter rein on Bubba...and they'll do "together" showings only.

2nd: No votes=No evidence...

3rd: If she loses the nomination, there is no way she wants to walk into the Senate Chambers with a big "L" on her forhead.

There are coupe of things I find hilarious about this whole thing.

The first is the Democrat Party is now seeing that the Clinton's are he ego driven, deceitful, dishonest and have no core principles other than seeking power for themselves. Of course those of us on the right have known this all along-its just fun to watch the looks on Democrat's faces when they realize how horrible the Clinton are. Governor Richards is the latest example-he defended Clinton when he was denying the Lewinsky accusation, he helped him stave off impeachment. Now he supports Obama and he is compared to Judas Iscariot. In their minds he is like Judas which makes sense as they consider Clinton to be akin to Jesus?

The second thing is how they squirm when the race or gender card is used on one of their own. For 50 years the Democrats have used accusations of racism or sexism to attempt disarm their republican opponents. I suspect that Ferraro and Clinton never in their wildest dreams thought that such accusations would made against them. And they are finding out how hard it is to defend oneself against such accusations.

And there She Who Cackles is out harshing all over that poor black man’s desperate bid for the Presidential nomination. She ain’t bitter, no Sir, she ain’t.

The only thing of similar magnitude I can think of is the brouhaha that went up over a casual remark from George Allen, former Senator from Virginia, in a race for re-election he seemed to be well ahead in. By calling one of the shadowers of his campaign a “macaca”, George brought down the wrath of a broad spectrum of the media upon his as being somehow “racist”, and therefore EEEEEE-vil.

George Allen should have been one of the Republican candidates for President in 2008. Young, good looking, fairly well known BEFORE this blow-up, with experience both as a governor (of Virginia) and in the Senate, he would have been head and shoulders over most of the rest of the field, and WAY ahead of anybody the Democraticans put out there.

Clinton!08 would take Pennsylvania if the primary were today. O’Bama has committed the classical gaffe and Hillary!08 has shown her country roots. The tide has shifted.

Here’s how it goes down. Hillary is counting on the raw vote to get her the superdelegates. If you count FL and MI (giving MI undecided votes to Obama) Hillary is close in the raw vote (331,000 down). If Hillary can close this gap then she will say that it is the voice of the electorate and the voters must be heard.

"She is pinning her hopes that either Obama falters or that the opposition research her team has been sitting on makes its way out from June to August."

She's come a long way in the last week to her first hope, Obama falters, with perhaps some help from her "opposition research team" obtaining the video. My guess is she will unload all that "research" she's obtained pre-convention even if she knows she hasn't a prayer of winning the nomination. After all, there's always '12 to consider, and she certainly will prefer a Republican president to a Democrat keeping the WH seat warm for her next bid.

You're absolutely correct, "They aren't going anywhere."

This is why I was against “operation chaos”. Anything that keeps her alive, also keeps alive the possibility that she could become President. The worst of all possible outcomes in the current scenario.

(Yes, worse that Obama because she will have clout, he won’t)

Much of this "not quite 50/50" drama just might be the result of the dem's having discovered that they have pushed forward one mystery candidate, one widely loathed candidate, and are now looking fondly at an already defeated fat guy (who would probably be happiest to continue with his eco-fraud money making).

Just maybe it is dawning on them that there is nothing behind either door number one, door number two, or door number three.

Just as critical elements in the republican party cannot be convinced that McCain will concede his liberal aims, the dems must be equally concerned that he will not give them up. And McCain is their door number four.

On our side...only door number four remains to choose from.

The worst of all possible outcomes in the current scenario.

Hillary will NOT win the pledged delegate count but Obama will not get a majority. If Hillary takes the nomination the Democrat Party will splinter. I can even see Obama running as an independent. Can you imagine what this would do to the down ballot races? The GOP might get the House and Senate back.

You say: “Yes, worse that Obama because she will have clout, he won’t”

We make a mistake looking at Obama as the leader of his campaign or that he would be in charge should he get into the WH.

obamama is an empty headed elitist who is but a carefully “Polished, Programmed Puppet” under the Svengali control of the Rev. Bullfrog, one of the leaders of the Black Liberationists

Put together obamama’s remarks, caught off record in San Francisco, revealing his contempt for rural American gun-toters, along with his on the record voting on gun rights, per this link

http://www.nraila.org/Issues/Articles/Read.aspx?id=286&issue=042

people may be reading the RevWriting on the wall.
They are beginning to suspicion that the obamama is an empty headed elitist who is but a carefully “Polished, Programmed Puppet” under the Svengali control of the Rev. Bullfrog, one of the leaders of the Black Liberationists.

Their goal:

Get their puppet (Black Manchurian Candidate) in power.
Get guns out of the hands of Whitey.
Set off the “Quiet Riots” that are ‘simmering’ and ready to ignite (per link below).
BLACK POWER

http://cbs2chicago.com/topstories/Obama.Blacks.Quiet.2.337535.html

Obama Warns Of ‘Quiet Riot’ Among Blacks We keep this man from power or get ready for the takeover - a hundred years ago, there was the Bolshevik Revolution. We keep this puppet out of the White House, or OUR city squares will run red.

http://www.theblacknationalist.com/

“Separation: The Only Solution To Our Problem” and “The Fall of America.”

http://www.finalcall.com/artman/publish/article_805.shtml

(The blacks and Islamofascists are planning to take over - )
The realization the Black Liberationists (the Rev. Wrong is one of it’s leaders and the Islamofacists are quietly working together for the overthrow of Whitey = and we better damn well wake up to it.

obamamama is their Black/Muslim Manchurian Candidate.
He has been carefully crafted, by his Svengali Surrogate Daddy, the Rev. WRong, into an empty Polished, Programmed Puppet.
The goal is:

Get him into the WH

pass the anti-gun laws (get guns out of Whities hands)
unleash the Quiet Riots (per another obamamama speech he gave in friendly circumstances where he thought he could speak freely

“Obama Warns Of ‘Quiet Riot’ Among Blacks”
Their ‘Brothers’ of Islam will join in the ‘war’

http://cbs2chicago.com/topstories/Obama.Blacks.Quiet.2.337535.html

and then rule with BLACK POWER

I'm starting to think that Dem voters will dwindle...because the whole Dem nominee process is a mess and not one but TWO socialists are the contenders...

and these people want to change our country into what???...My God, it can only result in a mess.

And frankly, that's what Bubba created...with higher taxes, give aways, ignoring attacks on our assets AND A HIT ON AMERICAN SOIL...THE NEW YORK TOWER BOMBING in 1993.

And that's saying nothing about Monica and and the MESSING of OUR WHITEHOUSE.

Where are the Dems brains??

Why should she quit? Her strategy is working. Hang on until obama shows himself as unelectable and then the party must turn to her. She couldn't have done it without rush, hannity and the other talking fatheads who gave her the nomination and the election. Obama would have been an easier opponent for mcclain.

The reason Bambi looks so weak now is because of the drawn-out nomination process. If he had closed the deal six weeks ago he'd be looking a lot stronger now and a lot of this negative stuff wouldn't be getting so much play.

I doubt it. Her husband refused to resign as governor during his presidential campaign in 1992.
