'That boy's finger does not need to be on the button'(Rep. Geoff Davis)
Politico ^ | April 14, 2008 | Ben Smith

U.S. Rep. Geoff Davis, a Hebron Republican, compared Obama and his message for change similar to a "snake oil salesman" [at a Northern Kentucky Lincoln Day dinner].

He said in his remarks at the GOP dinner that he also recently participated in a "highly classified, national security simulation" with Obama.

"I'm going to tell you something: That boy's finger does not need to be on the button," Davis said. "He could not make a decision in that simulation that related to a nuclear threat to this country."

Sure, he could push the button = he's push "Present" and let the bombs fall where they may while saying: "It's not MY fault!"

If America doesn't wake up soon and look at the fiasco and chaos of the dimRat primary and think: "Good glory! They can't even manage a simple campaign within their own party. How in God's name would they manage the country! These are the people who claim they will 'unite'? These are the people who could make the quick but right decisions to keep us safe?"

By their works, not words, You shall know them...

It's not the smartest statement made for obvious reasons, but he's right. He's not man enough for the job of president.

Why I do believe that they call that a broadside across the bow.

"I'm going to tell you something: That boy's finger does not need to be on the button," Davis said.

Thanks for providing all the distraction Obama could ever conceivably need from the ongoing debacle that was his "you racist, embittered midwestern hicks, you" gaffe, Davis.

Putz.

From the cut of him, this guy did barack mcgovern a favor by referring to him as a “boy.” He should quit while he is ahead.

I am guessing that when this hits the MSM that Davis will be receiving phone calls from President Bush and Sen. McCain and both will tell him to resign.

It will only cost him if conservatives cower in PC fear. Instead, why don’t we crush political correctness.

With Obama — given his immature, grossly and wrongly simplified solutions, unduly privileged history, unappreciative and inappropriate anger combined with misdirected blame —— “boy” fits perfectly...

There are other “terms” that apply — but “boy” will do for now......

Then he should have said that. The use of “boy” is just dumb.

That is exactly what I was saying, how about “a President younger than the naive Bill Clinton, the second youngest President elected”

Although if Obama wanted to counter him, he could say something about the Cuban Missile Crisis whether it was luck or not. It is not how young he is, but how rich his life was within the short amount of time, quality over quantity. The problem was that his life was full of troubles and while that may fit into some sort of American Dream mythology he hasn’t really done anything that makes him unique or a test to run for President.

Romney had the Olympics and running a business, McCain was stuck in a hole in Vietnam for 5 years, Obama’s uniqueness is that he was the first black to be lawyer or lawyer editor for some college rag. Hell, using that Colin Powell is more qualified because he actually became the first black in a Presidential cabinet position. Obama, at that Steelton rally, didn’t even look black but more like silky mocha coffee.

I can see that Obama is talented but he really isn’t that intelligent. Clinton was intelligent, Reagan was intelligent and Nixon but Obama has the talent to host a comedy show, not the country itself.

If he quits, he’s a wuss. Why do Republicans always throw in the towel at the first hint of trouble? Fight like you’ve got a pair!

There’s nothing inherently wrong with calling Obama a boy. He looks like a boy. He’s about as mature as a boy. To heck with ‘rats and their racial crap.

I sure hope not. I want this guy around to pull the plug on Bush’s and Mccain’s idiocy.

“I am guessing that when this hits the MSM that Davis will be receiving phone calls from President Bush and Sen. McCain and both will tell him to resign.”

You are probably right.

GOP’s playbook: 1. play soft defense 2. backpedal 3. look as similar to the opposition as possible 4. backpedal
