Use Obamas own proven lie to destroy his candidacy
Barack Obama’s latest radio advertisement underscores his belief that small town Pennsylvanians are dirt-ignorant farmers, coal miners, and factory workers who “cling to guns and religion,” and are therefore incapable of knowing when a slick college boy and Harvard lawyer from a real city like Chicago is telling them a whopper. Then again, Obama’s efforts to blame “Big Oil” for $4.00 a gallon gasoline–the quoted price itself being an outright lie–conforms perfectly to the following principles.
-H. Trevor-Roper (ed), The Goebbels Diaries, p. XX, cited in Regan, Geoffrey. 1987. Great Military Disasters. New York: M. Evans and Company.
Obama’s Propaganda Man, the person to whom he directs his Big Lie, is clearly Joseph Goebbels’ “man in the street”–or perhaps that hypothetical small town Pennsylvanian who clings to guns and religion. The prevalence of this advertisement, which plays very frequently throughout the day, offers us an opportunity to demolish Obama’s credibility by circulating the truth as widely as possible. We can make Obama’s own propaganda into a force multiplier that works for us.

In addition, Obama and Clinton are lying by omission when they give lip service to the Second Amendment by saying they support the right of people to hunt. The Second Amendment is about the right to keep and bear arms for self-defense, not just for hunting. Clinton, who is now trying to be Annie Oakley, was behind the Million Mom March in 2000, and we must remind gun owners of this if she becomes the Democratic nominee.

Obama doesn’t know any more about the cause of oil prices than the does about why stock markets go up or down. The guy has NO EXPERIENCE IN THE ECONOMY, the GOVERNMENT or FOREIGN/MILITARY POLICY! The guy is another in a long line of Harvard trained lawyers. Lawyers negotiate and seek settlements.
And somebody outght to tell him that he can’t bring up his student loans when his wife makes $300K to do a job which would have to be banned in his own health plan. People who DO have student loans don’t want to hear about how hard it is for you to afford piano lessons for your girls AND pay your student loans on your measly book royalties. And for a guy who has never invested to be delving into tax issues which could crater the market is what lawyers call ‘practicing outside your area of expertise’.

Oil companies play no part in the present gas prices? Really? You’re going with that?
Sorry, there is plenty to bash Obama about. This just doesn’t rank in the top 100 - IMHO.
“Oil companies play no part in the present gas prices?”
They could just give it away if they wanted to.
$4.00/gallon is what you get for buying gasoline in Los Angeles, the central garbage pit of the People’s Republic of California. Obama was talking about gas prices IN PENNSYLVANIA.
If he was talking to people in Los Angeles, his statement might be truthful. Since he is talking to Pennsylvanians, he is lying.
BO was a guest of the Getty family when he made his speech dissing Bible-thumping, gun toting, xenophobic working stiffs. And where does the Getty family money come from?
You too will get to enjoy 4 bucks a gallon soon. Don't feel left out.
And as far as LA or Cal being a garbage pit, Pennsylvania is a crime pit. There must be a lot of hard core scum in your state.
For example, per capita crime in your major city of Philadelphia exceeds Los Angeles crime in every single major crime catagory, by a large margine.
Latest 2006 Crimes per 100,000 People:
Philadelphia, PA | Los Angeles, CA | National | |
Murder: | 27.7 | 12.4 | 7 |
Forcible Rape: | 65.55 | 27.3 | 32.2 |
Robbery: | 749.1 | 370 | 205.8 |
Aggravated Assault: | 720.1 | 377.2 | 336.5 |
Burglary: | 788.1 | 524.8 | 813.2 |
Larceny Theft: | 2691.1 | 1539.2 | 2601.7 |
Vehicle Theft: | 795.9 | 654.4 | 501.5 |

Here's a little lesson on economics. Of course oil companies always make as much money as they can, but that is a function of both price and volume.
They cannot unilaterally raise prices, because they have competition, and their volume would drop to zero, if they raised prices too much.
They could make more money by producing much more oil, and lowering prices a bit to get more sales volume, but the government prevents them from producing more oil in the U.S. There are oil fields offshore, and in Alaska, that would easily be cost effective for them to develop, were it not for government interference.
People often get upset with the supplier, when the price of something they need (or want badly) goes up, but they seldom take a rational look at the economics of the situation.
Philadelphia is not part of the “small town” group Obama was talking about. It is well known that Philly is a good place to stay away from, especially North Philly.
Hey, there are less burglaries in Philadelphia than the national average. Sounds like a bumper sticker.
But you didn't talk about that.
You stated LA was a garbage pit.
So I just pointed out that there is a lot more hard core scum in your state, since for example, per capita crime in the major city of Philadelphia exceeds Los Angeles crime rates in every single major crime category, by a *large* margin.
Jeff, thank you for that link...it was very well written. I am going to bookmark it and send it on. Nice job.
Thanks...and you’re welcome. The more Americans who know about the abjectly radical nature of this guy’s core beliefs, the better.
Don’t forget that they don’t just “make” gasoline anymore...
The EPA mandates several special blends for the major metropolitan areas of the country, which has the added effect of short supply. This results as refineries shut down and flush out one production run for say Chicago, then produce the L.A. blend, and so on and so forth...
I suggest you read this article - http://www.reuters.com/article/reutersEdge/idUSL014607420071001
Future speculation is causing oil prices to go up. When do you ever see higher volume lead to higher prices? That’s easy, when speculation outstrips the supply.
Can you please tell me who does speculation on oil futures? Hmmm, could it be the ONLY companies that can actually take deliveries on such product? That’s right, your friendly neighborhood “innocent” oil companies.
