Great, but how about some of those huge packing plants in Kansas (where I grew up)? Practically all the workers are illegal. Hundreds of them for sure, maybe thousands.

Oh, please let one of the states be Oklahoma! And especially the construction companies owned by state senator Coates (a Republican no less) who has done everything within his power to thwart enforcement of immigration laws!!

Most likely, but there is some psychological value in these nationwide busts. It can make the illegals feel a bit less safe and less comfortable about sticking around, as well as put other employers of illegals on notice.

A local radioshow host was telling a story of a child of a legal Nigerian Immigrant who came here when he was 12, is being forced to leave even though he is married and has a child, all because his parents overstayed their Visa.
His point was that it is better to come in as an illegal because then there is no file on you and ICE won't come after you.
