CHUCK BALDWIN: ONLY A MIRACLE CAN SAVE AMERICA NOW
Constitution Party ^ | 15Apr08 | CHUCK BALDWIN

Posted on 04/17/2008 7:44:24 PM PDT by claudiustg

Every four years, conservative "pragmatists" trot out the "We Can’t Let So-And-So Win" mantra. Of course, the so-and-so in question is always the Democratic Presidential candidate. For all of my adult life, I have been listening to so-called "conservative" Republicans warn us of the impending doom that would befall our country if the Democratic candidate were elected. And this year is no different.

This year’s Republican primary did provide a wonderful aberration, however, to the usual choices between Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Republicans had an opportunity to nominate a real American constitutionalist, a statesman in the similitude of Thomas Jefferson or James Madison. That man was Texas Congressman, Ron Paul. Unfortunately, the Republican faithful seem to be incapable of discerning the marks of true greatness, not to mention fidelity to constitutional government. It is doubtful that most of them even understand what constitutional government is. And as for Christian conservatives, they can barely see any issues beyond abortion and "gay rights." To try and convince them to support a constitutionalist candidate is like talking to a brick wall.

So, what choice does the Republican Party offer the American people this year? The worst of all possible choices: good old John "McSame" McCain.

Let’s be clear: a John McCain Presidency will be no better than a Hillary Clinton or a Barack Obama Presidency. In fact, in many ways, a McCain White House will be WORSE than a Democratic one.

All of the choices stink, no doubt about it. I think it is more dangerous to start putting politicians on pedestals as some sort of savior to fix our problems. Anyone who comes in saying I'm from the government, I'm here to help should be challenged because they continue to make everyone look to Washington to fix their problems instead of themselves.

“America is currently facing the most serious threat to its national independence and sovereignty since the War of 1812. The forces of globalism have declared an all-out war against our country’s independence. Illegal immigration, the NAFTA superhighway, the North American Community, a regional currency called the Amero, and “free trade” deals are just a few of the weapons in their arsenal. And John McCain will use every bit of his power as President to facilitate all of this chicanery. And, because McCain is a Republican, conservatives and Christians will sit back and let it happen without even the slightest whimper of resistance. If Obama or Clinton were sitting in the Oval Office, however, massive numbers of conservatives and Christians would rise in protest over every inch of ground ceded to these nefarious nabobs. So, tell me, who is the greater evil? I say it is John McCain.”

My the way Ron Paul is unlikely to be the CP nominee.

I’ll be voting for a Conservative. I won’t be voting for McCain.

Good thinking there.. that is how we got the democrats running both houses. ie Pelosi and Reid.

Where were these massive numbers of conservatives and Christians when bill Clinton was president?

Thank you, Thank you for this true statement. Many won't believe it.

Ross Perot would not have had a pot to pi$$ in had Daddy Bush the Bakerite continued with Reagan Conservatism.

Read my Lips- Vote for Perot

OOhhh I don’t know, maybe not spending billions and billions of dollars on a war that was justified for one reason and years later, justified for another. Reducing overseas spending, eliminating liberal, BS program spending (things like planned parenthood), reducing taxes that would inevitably stimulate the economy, increase the American People’s savings. I’m not saying Ron Paul is perfect. I’m not putting him on a pedestal. But I know that he would do more good than bad. I can’t say the same about the other candidates. Why don’t YOU tell ME what glorious things McCain has in store for this country? Oh thats right...he doesn’t.

So, who will join me?"

Nope, the current conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan and the USSC are two issues which are too important to give to Hilly or Obambi.

BTW, Mr. Baldwin, I believe that God is in control and whatever happens is by His design, no matter what we will or will not do.

How dare you insult beloved Poppy/ sarcasm. You're right. Neo Cons love using Perot as a means to not blame Poppy for being just plain stupid and a bad POTUS. Bush hated the Reagan Doctrine. Him and the Ford Neo Con party wreckers went right to work tearing it down. We went from the worlds most powerful Navy in strength to under 300 ships today. They love to blame that one on Clinton. Well facts are facts and Clinton had six of his eighth years facing a GOP majority house and senate who did nothing to stop him nothing at all.

Warnings were sounded and Chuck Baldwin was one of them saying this was coming to the GOP. I'm sick and tired of the Destroy the Nation but not the GOP mentality. The GOP is the party of enablers for the DEMs. Ted Kennedy is still the senate majority leader as he has been for decades now, and GW Bush still does his work for him. So will McCain.

Gameplan: Obama beats Hillary, McCain beats Obama, conservatives beat RINOs

Logic is apparently unrequired for taglines; please explain how conservatives are to beat RINOs.

If that is the ultimate goal, I suggest re-reading the full article. McNutt will destroy morale, which is already at a nadir. You're deluded if you believe Conservative will rally against a Republican President.

The best case scenario is true "reaction formation" instead of complacency. Numbers are so dismal, Baldwin is correct that only a reawakening of conservative/traditionalist opinion will snap Joe Couch-Potato out of his stupor. Either rat will do this, and more. We have to count on our elected representatives to stymie the Socialist Agenda (The Gaia-loving, multiculturalist, has his own Socialist agenda), which I'm ashamed to admit, is a considerable risk.

On a side note, Freep'ers have consistently done their cause and themselves a disservice for taking the mockery of Ron Paul to a level that blurs the distinction between the man and his beliefs. I remind all that these beliefs are shared by a substantial amount of conservatives during peacetime. This revelation of widespread Freeper shortsightedness has been a real disappointment. It's a recoverable error in normal times, but I fear we have accelerated into a "supranormal" period of looming financial and moral bankruptcy. All of the big talk of preparedness looks silly when anti-intellectualism is promoted and the gravity of our circumstances our so openly disregarded.

But hey, you got the chance to jeer in your mischaracterization of someone as an Isolationist. How much will that be worth when oil is indexed to Euros and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has sent its 100000th "student" since 9/11, to the USA?

The way I look at is this. If Obama or Hillary can carry Montana because I vote for a third party nutjob, the end is at hand.

So, I can register my dissatisfaction with the Republican Party, both nationally and at the state level, which last time I looked was one of the major functions of the ballot box.

There’s not many other ways to do it. Send a nasty letter to McCain and the state and national committees? Why would they care? On the other hand Republican lawn signs replaced with CP signs and an increasing percentage of votes going to the CP will get their limited attention.

Did I mention that the Republican Party in Montana went to a caucus primary this year, disenfranchising this humble poster?

Many don’t know this, but that not so crazy Texas business man, Ross Perot, had an agreement with Bill Clinton. If he caused the failure of the Republicans to get the Presidency, he would later have a guaranteed contract to handle the checks for Medicare.

So Perot spent several hundred million of his own dollars to get a single government contract? For a self-made billionaire he must be a pretty crappy businessman; considering a simple bribe would have been a lot cheaper.

Hey! Count me in the "almost 95% there" crowd (for the "Constitution Party" over that Shamnesty/RINO for President this year). Just a few more issues and questions to work out for me. But as I said, I am nearly there.

I’ll give this to McCain; he dropped bombs on Commies!

And that's more than enough for me to vote McCain in November against two communists. Face it, he's still fighting communists.

"We'll survive McCain. We survived Bush, Clinton, Carter, Johnson, Hoover, Harding, Grant, a Civil War, and even James Buchanan and Franklin Pierce. America's tough despite all the boys who cry wolf around here."

Thousands of DEAD Americans, since January 2001, killed, injured or raped by illegal aliens on sovereign U.S. soil, with the frikkin border wide open for larger economic interests, DID NOT SURVIVE THE "W" ADMINISTRATION.

I, or you, or someone you love, could be NEXT.

Sorry, not as optimistic about things as you apparantly.

Chuck Baldwin represents a view of foreign policy that, if implemented, would directly endanger millions of Americans lives.

Thank God there wasn’t one whiff of this noninterventionist nonsense in the Reagan administration. The Soviet Union’s gulags would still be doing a thriving business.

The Ron Paul disease continues to weaken the body politic.
