Since the Navy hasn't been needed as much in this War, why NOT move folks around? If they have skills that can be utilized on the ground, it's a good idea to put them there, and free up a ground pounder to do the job he or she has been trained to do.
Then get her the hell out.
How familiar are you?
Sure. Let's take dentists and send them over there to do surgery. Let's take Navy lawyers and put them in command of Army infantry companies. Taking a person and sticking them in a position that they are untrained for just to put a body there is a waste of talent and can endanger the lives of others.
Drive off Golden State GOP, I think that we are the only ones who know who Manuel II Palelologus was.
This reminds me of the early days of Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan when the Special Forces guys would patch through audio from the female AC-130 pilot overhead onto the Taliban frequencies. She would say that she was delivering retribution for the way they treated their women.
These troglodytes need to get with the program.
So does this bimbo.
I like seeing journalists who know nothing about the Navy evaluation system pick out bullets. Even Joe Sh*t the Rag Man gets this in his eval if he is assigned to a forward-deployed ship in Japan like Essex. Everyone does-it's SOP.
I also thought it was interesting that that after 4 years active duty she received low marks in professional expertise. So much for the hard charger claim. I wonder if she complained about having no training as a Public Affairs Officer when they assigned her that job at the reserve command?
Do you think he’s spent as much ink on any of the Medal of Honor awardees since 2001? I highly doubt it, because I did a search and didn’t find any.

“Its a shame he had to do a profile on her when there are a lot more deserving people he could have covered....”
