MOSCOW: Russia plans to considerably step up its humanitarian aid programme for the Serb minority in Kosovo, Emergency Situations Minister Sergei Shoigu was quoted as saying by Russian news agencies late on Friday.

We will soon begin delivery of up to 10,000 tonnes of medicine, medical equipment and wheat, Shoigu was quoted as saying after meeting Serbian Economy Minister Predrag Bubalo in Belgrade.

Shoigu said this would be the second phase of Russia’s humanitarian aid programme for Kosovo Serbs, after four aircraft carrying a couple hundred tonnes of aid arrived in Serbia earlier this month.

Russia is finally making her move. Look for an incident in the terrorist paper nation of Kosovo and Russia to move troops in to protect her allies.

Russia has zero ability to “move” troops in.
Look at a map.

Someone tell me why we shouldn't side with the Russkies on this, unless they try to fire on American forces stationed over there. My brother-in-law is going back over there Wednesday after a two week leave for 9 more months.

Airdrop troops in the place and send in Russian advisors ahead of time to scout the place out. 2000 Russian Troops could be on the front door of Kosovo in 3-4 days.

Armchair strategist.

Russia would need overflight rights from numerous countries who are openly against that very idea, and they will not intrude on foreign airspace, period.
Even Russia is not that stupid.

Send them in as civilians flights as they always did in the 1970’s-1980’s.

Look for an incident

Russia ruled that out a couple months ago. They could change their mind, but that's the position now. No military intervantion.

Of course, Russians always lie, it's not like they would lose any credibility.

Of course, if their troops got cut to pieces, they would have only themselves to blame, wouldn't they?

But in truth, the very idea of this sort of intervention by the Russians is the product of fevered minds. It will never happen.

Well Russia has been flexing as of late and I think it is not that remote of Russian Forces taking up resident in Northern Kosovo especially with Putin and his lapdog calling the shots together.

Russians aren't stupid, they know a bad idea when they see it. Any aid will continue to be humanitarian, and no one can object to that.

If Serbs want Kosovo invaded they'd better be willing to do the job themselves.

The Kosovo Serbs are destined to be treated by Belgrade the way Palestinians are treated in Arab capitals - something to direct voter discontent towards while the country's leadership accomplishes nothing useful.

Ergo, solving the Kosovo problem would be counterproductive as far as the folks who are using it to maintain power are concerned.

If Serbs want Kosovo invaded they'd better be willing to do the job themselves.

The last time the Serbs fought the Jihadists to a stop, the Islamofascists faked a war crime and got us to become their air force.

To this day, you'll find anti-Christian Dhimmis supporting Clinton's folly in Kosovo.

If we want to stop Jihad, all we need do is get out of the Serbs way.

Oh, we’re talking about stopping jihad, are we?

Let me know when someone posts something about Serbian soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. I look forward to reading about their contribution.

That's correct, and you may have noticed that the Serbs have their own problems right in their own backyard (where NATO is supporting the Jihadists).

Do you really think that motivates them to support NATO's efforts elsewhere?

Only the West is foolish enough to support their own enemies.

"according to local media reports"

The "local media" is just the jealous, lying Albanians. The Albanians are all upset and screaming accusations about the Serbs getting even the most basic aid.

Why would the Serbs want to help radicalize the Muslims and help the Taliban - an old CIA created terrorist group. The radical Muslims have become stronger after NATO/U.S. involvement and the heroin production is zooming since the invasion. I doubt the following help was a "mistake":

Nato admits mistakenly supplying arms and food to Taliban

· · Friday April 18 2008

Nato forces mistakenly supplied food, water and arms to Taliban forces in southern Afghanistan, officials today admitted.

Hamidullah Tukhi, a local politician from Zabul, told the parliamentary commission that the consignment had been taken by a local Taliban commander.

A Nato spokesman said the pallets were carrying rocket propelled grenades, ammunition, water and food.

Afghan politicians have said they do not believe the drop was an accident.
