Carter outlines Hamas' terms for peace deal

JERUSALEM (CNN) -- Former President Jimmy Carter said Monday that Hamas is prepared to accept peace with Israel if the Palestinians approve any agreement negotiated with Israel.

Carter's comments came after controversial meetings Friday and Saturday in Damascus, Syria, with exiled militant Hamas leader Khalid Meshaal.

"If President (Mahmoud) Abbas of the Palestinians and Prime Minister (Ehud) Olmert reach an agreement for peace, and if it is submitted to the Palestinians and the Palestinians approve it... Hamas will accept it," Carter said in a Monday interview with CNN.

Yeah, Hamas will pretend to accept Israel provided it goes back to the 1967 borders, then when Israel has compromised its strategic integrity, Hamas will attack anyway, leaving idiot Jimmy Carter to muse: “Wow, they told me they wouldn’t do that. I can’t believe it.”

Hamas’s Conditions for Peace with Israel

1. All Jews must convert to Islam.
2. Those who do not convert must commit suicide.
3. All of Israel must be turned over to Palestine, and newly converted Muslims must be subservient to their much more experienced Islamic brothers in Hamas and Hezbollah.

Done deal! Israel will get right on that!! /sarc

Uh-huh. These Muzzie slimebags probably agreed to this just to get Jimmah to leave.

Peace in the middle east will not occur until all of Israel's enemies are dead or Jesus returns, which ever occurs first.

Memo to President Bush:
Mr. Carter has now broken the law. Here's hoping you treat him as such when he returns. Make an example of him and end this "diplomacy by anyone that can afford an airplane ticket" nonsense.

The following is quoted from this (different) AP story over on Hot Air:

Carter said Hamas promised it wouldn't undermine Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ efforts to reach a peace deal with Israel, as long as the Palestinian people approved it in a referendum. In such a scenario, he said Hamas would not oppose a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza.

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri in Gaza said Hamas’ readiness to put a peace deal to a referendum “does not mean that Hamas is going to accept the result of the referendum.”

OK, so Mr. Carter claims that Hamas will accept the agreement and Hamas says they reserve the right to reject the agreement ... on the same day. Who ya gonna believe?

And really, the entire point is moot....the Palestinians won’t vote to be a neighbor of Israel.

Does negotiating for the US with a terrorist organization for a “peace deal” not count as treason?
