Why Obama Can't Close the Deal

PITTSBURGH - Why can't Barack Obama put Hillary Clinton away?

He's flush with cash. He oversees a high-tech political movement. His "change" message fits these anxious times. And, until recently, he had momentum. So why didn't he win Tuesday?

And why can't he close the deal?

In the short term, it may not matter because Clinton's victory in Pennsylvania is unlikely to change the dynamic of the nomination fight: It's Obama's to lose; it has been since late February when Wisconsin Democrats handed him a 10th consecutive victory and an almost insurmountable lead in pledged delegates.

Longer term, he's got problems. Here are five reasons why Clinton is still alive. Five ways he'd be vulnerable in November.

I was hoping Obama could put Hillary away once and for all. Looks like we'll have to deal with her a little longer.

It doesn’t really matter. Obama will be the Democratic nominee in the fall.

For me, I am glad that FINALLY Obama is getting some negative press from mainstream. I was really sick of the messiah treatment he was getting. For all Clinton’s faults, she was getting much more negative press that Obama mania was getting. I see you want Hillary gone as much as I want Obama gone. Hillary does not scare me nearly as much as Obama. That guy is pure evil in my eyes. I guess Hillary is to you. lol.

I sure called it wrong. I’ve been saying since the sniper-fire-lie blew up in her face that it was over for her, that she would lose PA outright. I was wrong. But I have to say: I’m happy about it.

The demonrats will continue to rip each other’s flesh. What’s not to like about that?

Why does the Main Stream Media continue to make such a big deal about this?

The math of the Delegate count does not allow either candidate to achieve the majority needed using only primary or caucus votes. In order to win, they need the Super Delegates.

I believe that they will continue to fight until the convention.

The article dances around the truth without actually stepping on it. Race was a big factor, but not in the way the author suggest. Obama’s total lock on the black vote, can only be explained by his race, since his position on the issues is not so different from Clinton to account for his 90+% of the black vote. His poorer than expected performance among the white vote may have something to do with the fact that Obama has attended a racist church for the last 20 years, warming the pews and pouring in thousands of dollars in cash to fund the Reverend Wright's bashing of what he, and presumably Obama, see as the U.S. of KKK America. And while Obama’s close association with an unrepentant domestic terrorist may not have put a dent in his African American support, Obama has not offered any rational explanation.

Just wait until the MSM finally picks up on the fact that Obama’s mentor in Hawaii was a hard core Marxist and enjoyed spending time with young boys. I think by November, the only demographic that Obama will not lose by wide margins is the black vote.

McCain is a very weak candidate, but he is also very lucky. He knows he will face a radical leftist with a closet full of skeletons to exploit, the only question is which one.

Obama will be the nominee emerging from the Convention in Denver and McCain will kill him. Unfortunately, the Fornier Fool branch of the media will blame that on the racism of the American voters rather than their love of their country making it impossible to vote for someone who does not love his country, is married to a woman who hates her country, surrounds himself with a roost of AmeriKKKa haters, who has no real vision for America other than we need “change” (but he won’t tell us what “change” he will bring), etc.

Craig Crawford was on Imus this morning and made the very pertinent point that Obama avoids press conferences and likes to evade questions in general. We might have the amazing combination of arrogance and light weightedness coming together in the man. How hard could it be to beat that combination this fall?

"Why Obama Can't Close the Deal?"

Because he is a socialist, unpatriotic anti-American, anti_Semitic, anti-white people, rabid black racist candidate who hangs with anti-Americans, terrorists, anti_Semitic, anti-white people, rabid black racists who HATE America. He is also THE candidate our enemies and the enemies of Israel like HAMAS want and openly support for president.

He can't "close the deal" because in spite of the main stream media, the truth about Osama Obama has come out and enough patriotic Americans of all colors and genders will do everything in our power to make sure he never becomes president.

It has nothing to do with "race" and everything to do with CHARACTER; who Obama is, what he believes and who he has associted with for over 20 years.

Still if there is one candidate capable of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory it's McCain.

I see you want Hillary gone as much as I want Obama gone.

I think Obama will be much easier to dispose of in the Fall than Hillary will be.

to true.
You know the dems aren’t going to turn their backs on all the black voters who have blindly supported any candidate the dems
have thrown up there for the past 100 years.

It's Obama's to lose;

I believe it's Clinton's to steal ... never unsderestimate the Clinton's power to manipulate vote totals, especially in Democrat primaries when no Republicans are watching.

Bingo...you said it perfectly.

"He can't “close the deal” because in spite of the main stream media, the truth about Osama Obama has come out and enough patriotic Americans of all colors and genders will do everything in our power to make sure he never becomes president."

My guess is he may not even win the nomination as many Democrats are on to this guy as well. Unfortunately, many Dems who are on to him embrace his ideology too.

Regardless of what we would all like to believe, the Democrats are not stupid. Given a choice between pissing off the Clintons and pissing off their primary constituency, they'll drop the Clintons.

This campaign has the potential to divide the Democrats for several elections to come. Even if Clinton conceded tomorrow, unless Obama wins blacks in the party will look for scapegoats. And Clinton will be in their sights. His loss will be blamed on Clinton weakening his campaign, racist white voters, anything and everything except the candidate himself.

Sounds like Obama is bitter, and clinging to his pledged delegates.
