I don’t think it’s that easy to siphon gas out of these newer cars. There’s usually an obstruction put in the filler tube to prevent that........

I don't know about that on the newer vehicles?

But I remember many years ago back in the seventies when gas siphoning was going on, you could buy a wire coil shaped like a cone. You would insert it into your fuel inlet upside-down to prevent a siphoning hose from being inserted into the tank.

There was post within last two weeks on how thieves get around that obstruction.
They drill hole in bottom of gas tank.
American ingenuity dontcha know.
