How about he just wears a chastity blindfold, and one of his wives could hold the key

Every Mosque needs to have a chick in a thong outside selling hotdogs from a cart on the sidewalk like in Florida.

Sheik Hilali's comments about the veil being "mandated" in the Bible, saying they were misleading. "The New Testament does call upon people to dress modestly," he said. "But there is no understanding that women are commanded to wear the veil. But it is mandated that you should dress appropriately for your social context."

Per rules

Here is Catherine Bell  showing her modesty by covering her head

That was never a requirement, though.
Paul said “if any be contentious, we have no such custom”.
I’m contentious.

But a man has the same covering, so something is not quite right about this. I mean; God gives both men and women hair that grows on their heads, and grows. Tradition says Paul was bald, though. Maybe he forgot what he had in his youth.
I think that Paul was just trying to settle contentions among the Corinthians, who were a mix of Greek and Hebrew Christians, with different “cultures”. But he didn’t settle it. The wars go on.

The jackass doesn’t even know the Koran. Nowhere in the Koran does it mandate the veil or hijab or chador or burka or any specific covering at all, only saying that women should dress modestly.

The entire culture of covering up women is a social custom from the middle east (including the Byzantine areas) in the sixth century A.D. It is not prescribed in the Koran.

Yes, because a Muslim certainly knows more about the Bible than Christians.

Why is it the Muslims blame the women? If a woman is uncovered to the point that it gives me impure thoughts, I have the moral decency to push these aside and move on in life, not act on it as an animal and blame the woman! A woman’s beauty is God’s artistic talents, to be tastefully admired at a distance and move on (no touchy!)These idiots are stuck in the dark ages...and as a sidebar, did anyone ever read that porn websites get the most hits from Muslim countries?

Yep, if the Christian women are already wearing veils, it will make it easier when the Islamofascists take over the US and convert all infidels by force. Then we American women will only have a few things left to do: give up our driver’s licenses, get clitorectomies, give our pre-pubescent daughters to old men for marriage, and of course declare allegiance to Allah.

...That is unless we want to um you know take a stand??? But that would make too many waves... Plus isn't NOW already standing up for our rights?

OUTSPOKEN Muslim Critic Diehard bin Hunter says the Funny Papers “mandates” the wearing of underpants on the head by Muslim Terrorists, and the wearing of paper grocery bags on the head by Muslim women.

I wear a mantilla to Mass, but it is my choice. Tell me, WHAT is so dignified about a woman in a burqa? There is a world of difference between humility before God and humiliation by men.

Here's the relevant passage, 1 Corinthians 11:2-16 (HCSV),one most modern (even conservative evangelical) bible scholars interpret differently than it sounds:

2 Now I praise you because you remember me in all things and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you. 3 But I want you to know that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of the woman, and God is the head of Christ. 4 Every man who prays or prophesies with something on his head dishonors his head. 5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, since that is one and the same as having her head shaved. 6 So if a woman's head is not covered, her hair should be cut off. But if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, she should be covered.

7 A man, in fact, should not cover his head, because he is God's image and glory, but woman is man's glory. 8 For man did not come from woman, but woman came from man; 9 and man was not created for woman, but woman for man. 10 This is why a woman should have [a symbol of] authority on her head: because of the angels. 11 However, in the Lord, woman is not independent of man, and man is not independent of woman. 12 For just as woman came from man, so man comes through woman, and all things come from God.

13 Judge (for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair it is a disgrace to him, 15 but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her as a covering. 16 But if anyone wants to argue about this, we have no other custom, nor do the churches of God.

This is the passage where we get our tradition of men taking off their hats in Church (or even just indoors), and why in very traditional churches today women will tend to wear hats.

Of course the main thrust of the passage is a Husband's authority over his Wife....not a very popular theme today, even amidst evangelicals...

The most convincing interpretation I've heard comes from the fact that in the original Greek no hat or veil is actually mentioned. The word for "head covering" MAY mean a hat/veil, or, it may be referring to the obvious fact that womens' hair covers her head--and, nature teaches us women appropriately have longer hair then men....
