Polygamy has been a “hot button” issue because Romney (R) was running for president, more conservative than some others, and he is on the short list for VP candidate. Funny how the media didn’t care about them or the Waco crowd before.
BS.
Waco was Waco.
I am so tired of the ever present reaching to try to make the child rapes of Warren Jeffs into Waco 2 The Sequel.
Find another theme for your propaganda.
The FLDS men who enslaved women deserve no sympathy.
Wow, I must admit I really haven’t followed this issue whatsoever.
This is a sick bunch of people.
God bless these three women and their work!
Polygamy has been a hot button issue for years.
These dumb*sses in Texas thought they would get away with doing in Texas what they do in Utah.
That is why it is in the news.
Evil is as evil does, ms gump.

“Funny how the media didnt care about them or the Waco crowd before.”
I had someone ask me if I thought the MEDIA was on the side of the FLDS.
So, what does the MEDIA care about? What side are they on?
ANSWER: They only care about selling laundry detergent. Whatever ‘side’ gets them the most readers, or watchers, that’s whose side they are on.
“These dumb*sses in Texas thought they would get away with doing in Texas what they do in Utah.”
These -——— in Texas thought they would get away with doing in Texas what they were on the lam from in Colorado/Utah.
That is why Warren took his loyal inner circle, and moved to TEXAS.
(in retrospect, I guess it wasn’t his wisest move)
God's way of getting em!
Thank you God,
Amen.
Amen bump!
Yup. In fact, the media had kind of let this die down until the more salacious information (pregnant girls, girls who are mothers) started coming out—now it’s page after page of these articles on the search engines. But of course, they’re also fighting for space with the Austrian monster who fathered several kids with his daughter.

Between the 1850s and 1890 the majority of Americans wanted polygamy stopped. That split probably gave Mormonism an unattractive reputation, among our ancestors.
So even when mainstream LDS gave up polygamy in Utah in 1890, some splinter sects continued in Utah and Arizona to break the laws of their states, and their religion.
So I agree, and applaud Texas for doing what Utah and Arizona have mostly avoided doing. Yet I also realize why it was a touchy political issue there, then. But shouldn’t be now.
Maybe now Utah and Arizona (plus Colorado and South Dakota) can get some stones, and crack down on institutionalized underage sex.
“But of course, theyre also fighting for space with the Austrian monster who fathered several kids with his daughter.”
I wonder how Austria will ‘pursue’ this case?
Mormons had literally declared War on the United States.
It wasn't until the US Government (that had been patient with the group) was confronted with its practices and violence that it acted. I think the US Govt at that time exhibited infinite patience.
When LDS property was seized and Utah denied being a State, did the Mormon Cult rewrite its history, for the upteenth time. With many more times to come.

If you two want to have a conversation, go ahead.
Thanks.

More conservative than who? Obama? Maybe. Hillary? Close call.
Huh? The HBO series “Big Love” started before Romney announced is Presidential candidacy. And Warren Jeffs made the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted list before that too.
The Mormon polygamy in that era wasn't forced, nor did it involve younger girls than were routinely entering into monogamous marriages. The problem with the FLDS isn't polygamy, it's rape of minors; rape, beating and imprisonment of adults and children; and discarding adolescent boys who know they'll be beaten and re-discarded if they try to get back to their families.
