Obamessiah is so finished. Whites don't trust him because he sat for 20 years in a Kill Whitey church. Blacks don't trust him because he just denounced his 20 year association with his Kill Whitey pastor. The Dems are imploding. And I'm laughing.

Jeremiah Wright is a half-wit. And half-wits are sometimes half right. What the media did by showing the DVD clips of Wright’s anti-American hate rants was two things. It revealed a hate mongering demagogue. It also revealed a hate filled congregation who danced and celebrated in the aisles when Jeremiah damned America. What the media did was not attack Jeremiah Wright or the black church. But it did reveal a hate mongering pastor feeding his hate filled church. In that sense, it was about more than ONE hate mongering loony Pastor.

I think certain black pastors and realized that they wouldn't have Obama in their pocket (I wonder if this was related to his reluctance to spread "walking around money" in Philadelphia) so I think we're seeing the first signs of them turning on him and if he doesn't fall in line, I suspect he'll be getting the Reverend Manning treatment from a few more people.

They are eating their own now. Some in the racial grievance industry will denounce Obama for messing up their lucrative schtick, others will be silent but agree with what Wright said. The ‘typical white person’, the one who ‘clings to guns and their religion’, the blue collar
reagan Democrat’, he understands full well by now what Obama and Wright are about. Obama’s tanking poll numbers in NC and Indy are all one needs to look at to see he is done, but hopefully not until he has the nomination.

Senator Obama will be back at Trinity. He will also remain friends with Reverend Wright. He has not claimed he is leaving either the church or ceasing his friendship with Pastor Wright.

Many are hearing what they want to hear, not what Senator Obama actually said. That was the purpose of his most recent speech.

Senator Obama needs that 92% Black Vote, the antiwar vote and far left Democrat vote. He has not, and will not, abandon any of these constituencies.

Well, it is likely that Sen. Barack Obama won't be going back to Trinity United Church of Christ.

I wouldn't say that - at least not at this point. For all we know, this whole thing could be staged to make people feel sorry for Barak and get him the sympathy vote.

Mary Mitchell, you wouldn’t ah, er.. be bitter now would you?

You seem to be clinging to this “black church” thing a little too much.

At a time when African Americans are on the cusp of watching a barrier come crashing down, up jumps a divisive issue that is being driven by those outside of the black community.

Not only are they guilty of developing AIDS and crack cocaine, but of kidnapping and infecting/injecting innocent Blacks with the same, but now, they are driiiiiiving a diviiiiiisive isssue!

There is no institution in the black community more respected than the black church. And the notion that white pundits can dictate what constitutes unacceptable speech in the black church is repulsive to most black people.

And naturally, this guy will equally proclaim as unacceptable the notion that black pundits can dictate what constitutes unacceptable speech in a white institution (assuming such a thing as a "white institution" was legal in the US these days)

I wouldnt doubt Hillary offered Wright money or something to do what he’s done. Nothing could have helpoed her more.

Unacceptable speech? This woman doesn't get it - notions like "unacceptable speech" aren't part of any nation that supports free speech. Rev. Wright is free to rant all the nonsense he wants and his followers are free to listen. And those who disagree with Wright's statements are free to respond, which is what is happening. Don't like it? Too bad - free speech isn't restricted to what happens outside of black churches.

But really, what more should blacks have to sacrifice? Their dignity?

Well, Mary, if by "dignity" you mean "buffoonish paranoia", then yes.

A decisive issue? A possible US President goes to a black so-called preacher who hates all the whites?

Being driven by those outside the black community?

Silly, me. I always thought that black people were part of the same community as me......the Human Community.

This election is a real eyeopener.

Mary Mitchell is a racist. Jeremiah Wright is a racist lunatic. They’re killing their candidate with it and true to form all they can do is blame somebody else.

This is a Maureen Dowd, in vein, copycat article. Insert Cindy Sheehan's "Moral Authority" and no one can gainsay her, or disagree with her.

There is no institution in the black community more respected than the black church.

Really? What about the 5 Percenters, and the snipers Malvo. A letter found at a scene of one of the murderers suggests the murderer may have been a member of a "black church".

And the notion that white pundits can dictate what constitutes unacceptable speech in the black church is repulsive to most black people.

And the notion that black pundits (educators, politicans, pastors) can (and do) dictate what constitutes unacceptable speech in the white churches is repulsive to most white people.

So, when Obama says America was "offended" by Wright's harsh language, he isn't speaking for or to Black America. He is speaking to White America

Add to Mary's credentials that she has a female way of "knowing" (aka: telepathy via groupthink).

The following sentences have to be taken as a clip in order for the bottomline of Mary's (the authoress) to stand revealed:

**As much as I want to see Obama make history by becoming the first black man to be elected president, I don't want to see a warrior like Wright denigrated to prove to white voters that Obama is not a radical.

When Obama denounced Wright's angry words but refused to disown him, it signaled that he understood the sensitive tightrope he is being forced to walk.

His "outrage" over Wright's latest remarks signals something quite different. With the gap narrowing, Obama advisers are obviously scrambling for every white vote.

But really, what more should blacks have to sacrifice? Their dignity?

Frankly, Obama and Wright risk becoming metaphors for the ongoing struggle of blacks to unite politically.

Obama shouldn't have held a press conference to deal with Wright.

He should have been able to pick up the phone.

**** end clip

Mary is saying that beloved Obama and beloved Wright have been torn asunder by the hateful, dictatorial thoughts and expressions rendered by white supremacists. If the world were only so right, Obama wouldn't have been FORCED to go public and do a "disavowel" - he and Wright could have just chatted on the phone and discussed the situation and worked out their plan. She's saying that were it not for those hateful, racist whites who pinned a race-tinged Hester Prynne button on Wright's or Obama's shirtfront, peace and racial unity would have filled the land.

Note to Mary: I don't think your lament is helpful to Obama. You are indirectly asserting that YES, Obama is a Black Separatist.

Question: Is the author of this article a Hillary or Obama Supporter?

Barry is not finished, according to Nina Easton of Brit's Panel. This was Barry's Sister Souljah moment...no, it was even better than a Sister Souljah moment! You could just feeeeeeel his anger yesterday. (rolling eyes) And Brit let her get away with that.
