I picked up a copy of Time magazine yesterday, in which a columnist declared that issues of "character" were a "distraction" in the Presidential race. Obama actually said the same thing in his North Carolina press conference, that the Reverend Wright affair has been a "distraction."
Isn't this what liberals usually say when their own characters come under public scrutiny?
What a heap of pure poppycock!
Character is the primary issue in every Presidential election.
Period.
And we, the voters, have an inalienable right to know the specifics, as much as can be discerned, of a candidate's character.
But don't take my word for that. Take John Adams' words on the matter:
The people "have a right, an indisputable, inalienable, indefeasible, divine right to that most dreaded and envied kind of knowledge -- I mean of the character and conduct of their rulers."
Obama has blown his claim to integrity.
We, the people, now have indisputable evidence that Barack Obama lacks the integrity of character to be President.
To some, that might seem a bit extreme. However, writing as the mother of grown children, I have seen some pretty sorry excuses for incorrigible behavior, but I haven't witnessed many as morally repugnant as those offered by Barack Obama concerning his decades-long, close association with Jeremiah Wright.
The words, "morally repugnant," are strong and I use them carefully.
With Obama's Philadelphia-speech, hedging and squirming around specifics, and now with his final, "unequivocal," outright disowning of Jeremiah Wright this week, I have more evidence than I need to conclude that Barack Obama is either one of two things:
Behind Door #1: He is a reprehensible liar, who privately still believes, and has always believed, in the philosophy espoused by his long-time pastor, spiritual mentor and "uncle" figure, Jeremiah Wright,

Quit being racist—just love him for his skin color.
Either:
1) He sat in on 20 years of Wright’s sermons, while the pew warmers were WILDLY CLAPPING as “[God Da** America]” is spouted from the pulpit, AND BOLDLY LIED ABOUT NOT HEARING ANYTHING QUESTIONABLE.
OR
2) Obama could not discern in all the encounters he had with the church-attendees over 20 years of going to Trinity United that he was surrounded by black racists, even when mild rhetoric emanated from the pulpit.
#1 is now much more possible in my peon, unwashed masses eyes, since I noticed the ALL OUT AGREEMENT from the pews for the racism/bigotry from Wright in those video clips.
Obama may not be an America hating black racist, but he surrounds himself with that ilk.
Birds of a feather...
“But, Obama is just reaching out...”
Why not to Robert Bork, or Duncan Hunter, or Tom Tancredo, or ...
20 plus years listening to someone preaching against your white half, and against America and only in the past year you find it offensive either you are lying or stupid. And with degrees from many schools of higher learning, lying comes to the forefront.
I have a nightmare that my children will one day live in a nation where they will be judged not by the content of their character but by the color of their skin.
I have the same nightmare. This foolishness and hatred has to be confronted even though many conservatives don't want to. But the truth is on our side. We dare not wait too long or these haters will become more legitimate with the passing of time.
But it turns out that Obama has a high tolerance for hate speech via Jeremiah Wright. He may even agree with it. He knew full well what was going on in that church. No one can tell me differently.
It would be almost impossible for someone to attend that particular church and be so totally clueless.

Its equivalent to Spitzer, and his postitution hypocrisy.
Obama claims to be a Unifier and to have great Judgement, yet for 20 years has a racist Black Liberation Theology mentor.

If they are white, they already are. They are responsible for anything and everything that "people of color" can't achieve for themselves no matter what the reason, and a symbol of all that's wrong in the world.
Don't forget, people like Jeremiah wright has has 20 years to spread his brand of "Christian love" to his congregations. And he's not the only "prophet" as Obama calls him, spreading this message.
Mine too, FRiend, mine too.
Character is not AN issue. It should be THE issue.
Obama studied Black Liberation Theology in while he was a student. He studied under Black Panther revolutionary socialist lawyers. He collaborated with Rev. Wright. He probably taught the rev plenty.

The incomprehensible part is that Obama has so many followers who just don’t know about him, like whether or not he is an adherent of Black Liberation Theology (don’t you know he is?), and whether or not he supports Reparations. (He does, until he is made to deny it.)
On Friday (today/tomorrow) Hannity and Colmes will have a discussion of Black Liberation Theology....which ought to be interesting.
The fact that he wouldn't have been elected dogcatcher of Cook County if he looked and sounded like Dennis Kucinich seems to have escaped him. No real smart pol could seriously believe that he could possibly escape scrutiny for long, even with the determined help of Big Lib Media, with the kind of past and present associates Obama has. People might ask what was he thinking. I doubt he was thinking at all.
I’m sorry to inform you, but they already do. It’s up to us to change societal perceptions back to Dr. King’s image for their, and their children’s sake.
