An early morning explosion at the federal courthouse in downtown San Diego left a door damaged and blew out a window.
Sgt. Bob Dare of the San Diego Police Department says the loud blast occurred at about 1:40 a.m. Sunday. Streets in the area have been closed.
No injuries were reported. The explosion is under investigation.
FBI Special Agent Darrell Foxworth told a local TV station it appears the explosion may have been caused by a pipe bomb.
Whoa.
Who would the suspects be? Eco-terrorists? Immigration radicals? Drug traffickers?
I’d be checking the where abouts of all those and William
Ayres being in the area too. ;-)

Saw it on the ticker on CNN about 7:00am as breaking news - no follow up, though.
Depending on the size of the pipe bomb, it may well have been a few kids having fun. Stupid fun, but fun nevertheless.
Bill Ayers? Bernadine?? Is that you? Or friends of yours?? Maybe someone who got psyched up for the deed by watching vids of fellow Obama supporters chanting “YES WE CAN”......

no additional info on local news sources..
no injuries , localized damage to a window and a door... some fragments of metal found across the street from explosion, lucky no one was injured.
hope they have some security cameras that may shed some light on who done it.
we don’t need a return to the 60s .. altho many still try to take us there all too often.
probably just some youts .. they tend to get goofy at springtime..

SAN DIEGO — An explosion in front of the federal courthouse in downtown San Diego early Sunday blew out a window and damaged a door.
The loud blast at 940 Front St. occurred about 1:40 a.m., said Sgt. Bob Dare of the San Diego police department.
Some metal fragments from the explosion were found across the street, according to a freelance cameraman at the scene.
No one was injured, Dare said.
The Metro Arson Strike Team was assigned to the investigation, he said.
It would be interesting to see a follow-up report on this that would identify a reason such as threat for prosecution of some criminal member of a Cartel or other, or perhaps as Ayers has been in the news considerably of late, it could be a copycat event. Regardless, this needs to be addressed quickly and effectively.
I am not holding my breath.
