"We're here, we're queer, get used to it!"
Dozens of lesbian activists at Smith College climbed in through windows and stormed the podium in a riot scene shortly after Ryan Sorba began a speech on his upcoming book, The Born Gay Hoax. The melee forced an end to the speech before a packed hall in the library on the Northhampton campus.
Uniformed police officers and a plainclothes security guard were in the room but mostly just stood and watched. Rather than take action against the rioters, the officers and a university official walked to the podium and ordered Sorba to leave the room "for his own safety."
There were no arrests and no charges of disorderly conduct. This would seem to be a clear violation of the Massachusetts' Civil Rights statutes.

Libs must remember that while they "may disagree with what you say, they will defend to the death your right to say it."
Don't libs believe in that? If so, then thay have to adhere to that with their actions. This is a requirement.
Don't they believe in freedom of speech? Why would they want to engage in the suppression of free speech? I thought libs were peaceful and all.
How can libs - who claim to be into moral relativism - be against Sorba speaking on the Born Gay Hoax - when what one believes is truly relative?
If truth is relative to the Postmodern relativist, then there is no homophobia, bigotry, etc, because one cannot objectively prove what truly is homophobia or bigotry.
What say you?
BTW, there is no greed, either. Greed cannot be proven objectively either.
Use this to as another front to shut down the postmodern relativist. I have posted on Postmodernism twice previously and they give the other front on how to vaporize Postmodernism.
They don’t want anyone to make them think they might be responsible for their own perversion.
Ping!
For every kid, a pedophile, for every pedophile a kid. Sick bastards.
Libs must adhere to their own maxim: “While I may not agree with what you say, I will defend to the death your right to say it.”
They have to do this.
Blackshirts.
Is it even possible for flamming leftwingers to commit a Civil Rights violation?
The same libs that would embrace the Fairness Doctrine.
Conservatives need to bring reaaly good bull horns with them and shout them down.
How about: “We are here, we are queer, we are rude!”
That is what they should have done at Smith College.
What is particularly ironic and amusing is that many of the same people who say homosexuality is genetically determined also blame the child sexual abuse scandal in the Catholic Church on . . . the celibacy rules.
Libs believe that everything is relative, so one says back to them “Greed, homophobia, bigotry, etc, etc, etc, are relative, too, then.”
The lib will reply. “No, they aren’t.”
That is how libs think and act. They think that they should get to decide what is and isn’t relative - for everyone.
Homosexuals need to keep in mind, however, that the good news of the gospel is not about how God despises same-sex sexual relationships. In fact, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 indicates that certain members of that church had been slaves to such relationships but had been cleansed in Jesus' name. So these former homosexuals had evidently repented and accepted God's grace to straighten their lives out.
John 3:16
Revelation 3:20
No doubt.
And “We’re here, we’re queer and we are anti-free speech.”
And “We’re here, we’re queer and we are into suppression of free speech.”
I often wonder if they shouldn’t be called totalitarians instead.
These are the same drama queens who are always screaming that their voices are silenced. Yes, they are fascists. Yes, they own Smith college and have for quite some time.
The is it time for some there and other colleges to storm podiums and give them a taste of their own medicine?
More often than not, when bullies are stood up to,and bullid back, they stop their bullying.
Well, being the college Republicans paid for it, but it was prevented and the college security did not even try to help out, is there a way the club can sue the college for their expenses?
Then is it time?
"As an Illinois state senator in 2001, Mr. Obama accepted a $200 contribution from William Ayers, a founding member of the group that bombed the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon during the 1970s."--New York SunIf the information concerning the Ayers' contribution to Obama is true then Obama's remark concerning being 8 years old 40 years ago when Ayers was busy making himself infamous seems to me to be an attempt by Obama to try to cover his tracks concerning his connections with the man.http://www.townhall.com/columnists/HughHewitt/2008/04/17/airing_the_ayers-obama_connection
A colleague of mine tells this story:
Some years ago (it would have been about 20 or so years), he and another male colleague of his had to travel to the Smith campus for professional reasons. After concluding their business, they decided to eat lunch at a cafeteria on campus. He says that he and his friend were the only males in the cafeteria, and as soon as they entered, about half the women in the cafeteria started banging their forks on the tables and shouting “Eat Me!”...”Eat Me!”....This continued for the entire time that he was in the cafeteria.
He assumes that they were the heterosexual half of the campus body.
see tagline. I’ve got to tell you I am exhausted. I work in the Berkshires. Not a fellow sane person in sight. I now understand the mentality that elects Kennedy, Kerry, Patrick. The logical contortions I hear from the few willing to talk with me are enough to gag a faggot.
I like to refer to them as Demofascists.
There are prominent Freepers who believe in the tactics used by these lesbians, and promote the use of those same tactics by those of us on the conservative side.
I notice they dont post to these threads.
When they say it, the meaning is:
While I may not agree with what you say, I will defend to your death my right to say it.
No, unfortunately it isn't. The cards were stacked in this event - take a look at those grinning cops with their collective thumb stuck in their favorite place. Smith has been like this for years - the mere invitation of a conservative is regarded as an impossible affront and the entire collective culture of the institution reacted.
Make no mistake about it - Smith and its like are lost. There is no respect for free speech there, there will be no action taken against the rioters and the entire place is snickering at the very idea of anyone challenging their moral supremacy. These are the first people to benefit from the protections afforded by academic freedom and the very last to grant it to others.
Any such violence enacted against the protected radicals would be ruthlessly repressed, charges filed, lawsuits tendered, and the campus media would be screaming about the new dawn of Nazism there. I have news for them - it's been around for a long time.
It is typical for those who claim to support free speech only support free speech THAT THEY AGREE WITH.
The lowest slave has the freedom to agree with their master.
It is the conservatives who would be arrested for “interfering with a civil rights protest”.
the interlopers should have been, as a minimum, tazered or kneecapped as they entered the room...
Old-style liberals might believe that. But now the left is dominated by Marxist-Leninists. The advent of political correctness was a revolution whereby the Leninists overthrew whatever remained of the old democratic (democratic with a small "d") left. Most "progressive" leaders long for the day when they can abolish freedom of speech.
Fifty years ago in college we used to sing a song which said in part, “My gal’s from Smith, she talks like thith.” The place always has been a very peculiar college, IMHO.
These libs believe in the freedom of speech as in, “I have the right to yell louder than you and drown your opinion out if I disagree with it.” They are not for calm, rational conversation on the subject.
These queer libs in the video are so scared of a voice of reason, stating the fact that people are not born homosexual, but that homosexuality is a lifestyle (a sick one for sure). They are so scared that someone is going to talk potential homosexual recruitees out of that kind of sinful life, that they try to silence any voice that opposes the homosexual agenda.
Exactly! "You can only praise OUR way and our dirty dealings, but if you try to praise anything but hedonism, or you try to praise your God or even acknowledge Him in public, you will be punished."
Queer in a year, or your money back."
Barbara Bush is an old Smithie, and she is still active in alumna affairs.
Seems like she and some other old-girl benefactresses need to put their foot down about this Commie-Lesbian totalitarian, bad-manners stuff.
The administration needs to get slapped around by the alumnae, and it isn't happening. One has to conclude that lesbianism has been a part of Smith campus life for a very long time.
I knew a girl in high school, very bright and hard-working but shy and a little bit plain (she didn't work at making up and stuff). She had very, very good grades and went up to one of the Seven Sisters as a Chi Omega legacy, through her mom. She came back down in about 18 months or so, and enrolled at a not-particularly-distinguished land-grant school in her home state where yours truly was toiling away. I never understood her climbdown -- some students I'd known had blown scholarships or hadn't liked living far from home -- but 20, 30 years later the penny suddenly dropped after I heard something about the Yankee elite schools, and I think now that she hit the ejection-seat button after she ran into a bunch of LUGS and lifer lesbians who might have made things rough for her. Knowing her, I seriously doubt that she had had academic issues.
Guerrilla theater, again. Pure Saul Alinsky, so admired by Hildebeast.
That is exactly right. It is not about justice but power, it's not about sex, but power. Most of Hitler's circle were gay. "Indeed, this documentary suggests that Hitler's homosexuality may have fueled his rounding up of gays; self-loathing and closeted homosexuals (Roy Cohn, for example) can certainly be among the most vigorously homophobic."
Was Hitler in closet? And if so, so what?
