I don't mean to trump you, but it started with the introduction of chemical abortifacients [The Pill] in the early 1960's, and then the decriminalization of surgical abortion in the 1970's [Roe].
The biggest problem facing the USA right now is the collapse in Caucasian numbers, from 16 million in the 45-49 age group, down to a mere 11 million in the 0-4 and 5-9 age groups:
The young people we need now, in 2008 [who would be 25-30 years old, and just starting their careers] should have been made back in the Carter Administration, and early in the Reagan administration.
The young people we will need, circa 2020, when the sh!t really hits the fan, should have been made in the Bush I administration, and early in the Clinton administration.
But we can't build a time machine and go back and yell and scream at people to make more babies - we can only make do with what we have now, and try to figure a way to survive the coming social breakdown and societal chaos.
To quote Donald Rumsfield: You go to war with the army you have, not the army you wish you had.
Slick Willie happens to still have credibility with a lot of idiots. Can you not see that he was protected by Republican governors and Congress in that his liberal policies were DENIED and he pushed all the blame off on Republicans while taking the credit for things that would never have been otherwise if not for a GOP Congress. They are masters at it. And the lies and confusion will continue until the full meaning of the Clintoons/Obama are exposed at what their policies are in reality. Clintoon was effectively saved by the Republicans and maintains support by a great many ignorant people who will vote for Shrillery along the same lines.
You speak what many don’t want to acknowledge. It is devastating, but there is no going back. No morals, lies, manipulations, ignorance and the kids are getting worse and worse with the indoctrinations. They’ve succeeded to destroy this country really. What I find ironic is that now when the USA is going all liberal, the rest of the world is electing conservative leaders!
That’s a good point. But I thought we recovered a bit from that with Reagan. The saying about getting more conservative and WISE when older. But not to be. It’s not a good thing to see the way of children today and the lack of acknowledging right and wrong. It’s just too easy to be a liberal.
No - shortly after the introduction of chemical abortifacients [i.e. birth control pills], the Baby Boom came to an abrupt end, and Caucasian fertility plunged beneath replacement level, and has never fully recovered in the intervening 40 years.
Derbyshire recently put together a graph to show Caucasian fertility since 1990 [vis-a-vis Hispanic fertility & Black fertility].
When you look at it, recall that most demographers believe that you need a fertility rate of 2.10 children per woman just to tread water [the extra "0.10" is to account for things like sex imbalances and infant mortality]:
There is a little evidence that GOP Caucasian numbers are holding steady [and that it's DEM Caucasian numbers which are causing the collapse], but I don't know of any evidence that GOP Caucasian numbers are actually growing [which they would need to be to match the tidal wave of third world minorities now in the USA]:
Republicans' fertile futureThe "208" in that study corresponds to a fertility rate of 2.08, which is just below the replacement rate of 2.10, so even the number of GOP Caucasians is in decline [albeit a very slow decline].
Through the past three decades, conservatives have been procreating more than liberals

...Take a randomly selected sample of 100 liberal adults and 100 conservative adults. According to an analysis of the 2004 General Social Survey -- a bible of data for social scientists -- the liberals would have had 147 kids, while the conservatives would have had 208. That's a fertility gap of 41 percent. Even adjusting for other variables like age and income, there is a gap of 19 percent...
The GOP Caucasian fertilty rate would have to zoom up to something like 3.5 or 4.0 to keep up with the flood of third world minorities who are now in the USA [and who continue to flood into the USA], and I just don't see that happening in the near future [if ever].
Dear me...I have been lurking and freeping since 1998. Your post is riveting.
“Post-USA years...”?
I have long thought that the Greek tragedy in slow-motion we call the electoral process was incidental to macro-economic drivers.
In short, I think you are right. We have squandered our birthright for a mess of pottage.
I will still work for the right side. McLame is a mess, but still slightly better than the Democrat Marxists. The mere existence of BHO as a viable candidate should be the only data point needed in deriving the curve for the collapse of the republic. Buy food and other (ballistic) consumables.
Key word: Balkanization. Thank you for your poses.
woops! Poses = posts
It's a crying shame that most of GOP leadership can't see that most Americans , thanks to the Net, talk radio, and other media outlets can see thru that. And they won't lose the election in November because of that either. It's because the GOP leadership is like a ship without a sail right now and it starts at the top. Their is not coordinated PR Campaign. Where is our answer to Move On. org. Where are our Soros that can dump money in the 24 different 527’s.
