Governor Paterson announced $109 million in funding for stem cell research yesterday as part of a $600 million initiative approved in last year’s budget.

...

Yesterday’s announcement coincided with a convocation ceremony at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. “Human embryonic stem cells offer an unprecedented opportunity to study all aspects of human development,” the hospital’s president, Dr. Harold Varmus, said in a statement.

This clymer is truly awful like his predecessor, but the media and a majority of the citizens of the People's Republic of New York are giving him a huge pass. Disgraceful.

More money down a rathole. Embronic stem cell research has not come up with a cure or treatment for anything at all.

At the same time this reduces funding available for adult stem cell treatment development.

I guess Paterson really doesn't want his eyes fixed.

I knew this would be the first thing he would continue.

Why is he still in office anyway?

No, he wants them to be able to get rid of those who would have disabilities, the opposite of what’s promised.

Eugenics is an evil business.

Meanwhile, adult stem cells are kicking butt across the board.

Exactly!!! Spending more money on adult stem cell research would actually be a great investment as all breakthroughs with respect to stem cell research have come as a result of adult stem cells, not embryonic stem cells. Why do we throw good money after bad continously?

Because the media and the pollsters are covering for him big time, and the people in this state have no good sense. After all, look at the two marxists we have for senators: Her Heinous and Chucky Cheese Schumer.

Hey, at least he admits that Embryos are in fact human. It's a first step. Now we need to convince him that it is immoral to kill humans.
