This article is poorly written and confusing. I support Ms. Dixon in her efforts to exercise free speech as a Christian woman. But I do not agree with her own claims to “victim” status due to her race. We cede too much ground in the culture wars when we side with one aggrieved minority as they battle another. Both are wrong. Color blind society, anyone?

Another university practicing skin deep diversity with conformity of thought that goes clean to the bone.

Perhaps this is not too surprising, since Hitler’s original Nazis were also light in the loafers.

The university has not done a good enough job with its “diversity training”......er, thought control.

George Orwell would be very proud.

Now she is pointing the finger at University leadership. "I am an alumnus."

Actually, she's not an "alumnus;" she's an alumna.

A liberal university - an island of repression amidst a sea of freedom.

Appoint three more Souters to the Court?

What's the alternative? Either 'rat would appoint three more Ruth Bader Ginsbergs.

There’s not enough differenct between Souter and Ginsberg to matter. Check Souter’s voting record.

She is African American and they are treating her like this??

Yes, how dare they impose idiocy on a protected species over another protected species.

Google “The Pink Swastika”. Now it goes overboard and says every last Nazi including Hitler himself was homosexual, but the part about Ernst Roehm and the S.A is spot on.

Wow. She got fired for expressing her opinion? Here's the final article to tie all this together. This one was written by Lloyd Jacobs, the University of Toledo President. UT protects gay rights

...."Although I recognize it is common knowledge that Crystal Dixon is associate vice president for Human Resources at the University of Toledo, her comments do not accord with the values of the University of Toledo. It is necessary, therefore, for me to repudiate much of her writing and to make this attempt to clarify our values system. The Strategic Plan of the University of Toledo states certain “Core Values.” Among them are “Diversity, Integrity and Teamwork.” The document further states that we “create an environment that values and fosters diversity; earn the trust and commitment of colleagues and the communities served; provide a collaborative and supportive work environment, based upon stewardship and advocacy, that adheres to the highest ethical standard.”

Recently I have supported the revival of a Safe Places Program at the University of Toledo. Our Spectrum student group created the Safe Places Program to “invite faculty, staff and graduate assistants and resident advisers to open their space as a Safe Place for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning [LGBATQ] individuals.” I took this action because I believe it to be entirely consistent with the values system of the university. Indeed, there is a Safe Places sticker on the door of the President's office at the University of Toledo. ......

These people are morons. Gays, lesbians, transgenders, etc need a Safe Place? What the heck is a "Questioning" individual? Someone who has so many sexual orientation choices that they just can't make up their mind? I thought colleges were supposed to be a place of diversity. I guess not for Christians.

The Strategic Plan of the University of Toledo states certain “Core Values.” Among them are “Diversity, Integrity and Teamwork.”

Diversity means in everything but thought. Integrity means "everyone agrees with me." Teamwork means "Be a good team player and do exactly as you're told." The most narrow-minded people in the country are the ones who actively promote demographic diversity as a goal.

She says her termination is clearly a violation of her 1st amendment right for free speech, religious discrimination, and race discrimination.

I get the free speech and the religious discrimination arguments. However, the racial discrimination claim seems to be force of habit.

From the Miller letter: In the interest of full disclosure, at least three women I dated in college subsequently declared themselves gay, so I've directly contributed to the community's growth. Sounds like a winner to me.

,i.Elect Obama or Clinton and speed the process...?

...and McCain’s gonna do what...? Appoint three more Souters to the Court?</i>

I am more concerned about Hillary’s desire to end a free market economy and to put doctors on salaries, and Obama’s desire to limit how much I earn each year.

McCain has problems as a candidate, but he’s not going that far.

Who are you to question her gender identification?

"...They aren't consistent with University stated values," says UT president Dr. Lloyd Jacobs

Several questions:

Which "University stated values" are these opinions "not consistent" with?

What is the policy for adherence to "University stated values", and what is the procedure for deviation?

Where in employees' contracts, handbooks, or policy and procedure manual is "adherence to University stated values" discussed and explained?
