“Wake up Conservative Base!”
We’re wide awake and have been for years. Only takes a few shivs between the shoulder blades with that motherf*****s fingerprints on the handle to open your eyes.
Screw McCain, and screw anyone trying to coerce, threaten or cajole a vote for that bastard. He doesn’t deserve it.
It goes beyond that... Remember the “nuclear option”? The filibuster is a Senate rule, not a Constitutional limitation. The donks already have a majority in both houses... Give them the Presidency and you can bet that dingy Harry will turn over the filibuster rule faster than the wheel on a roulette table spins. And there will be NOTHING to stop the donks from implementing their plans...
More than one of my students have died in that WOT, to vote for Barak would be an insult to their memory.
BTW, I think we have quite a few deep cover trolls here at FR. I confronted one that actually equated John McCain's military record with John Kerry's.
The poster said that McCain record was worse because he cooperated with the enemy and made several propaganda films for them. No mention that John Kerry went to Paris on his own accord (in military fatigues)to negotiate with the enemy.
Oh yeah we got a troll problem here.
Not gonna do it. Wouldn’t be prudent.
I’ll vote for McCain, but since he thinks that money corrupts politics, I’m not going to give him any.
Shouldn’t this be in breaking news? It’s definitely breaking new ground: a thread telling conservatives to stop whining and vote for the turd McCain. Unheard of.
And to answer my own question, I'm trying to kick Carl Levin out of office, and re-electing our Supreme Court Justice Cliff Taylor.
And yes, I'm holding my nose with McCain. One reason. Supreme Court.
It isn’t like we’re going to just suffer four to eight more years of leftism, bring in a “true” conservative, and then simply roll back the mischief created by the leftists. Things don’t work that way.
Oh great, another “vote for the lesser of two evils” thread. These are about as bad and redundant as the anti-Rush threads. Since I doubt Obama will pick Mrs. Clinton as his running mate, I’ll let her supporters vote for McCain, and sit this one out.
In a word...
No!
I’m with you. McCain gets my vote. Attempts to punish or transform the GOP by staying home or voting third party are just too risky. America can survive a McCain presidency. The America we know would be unrecognizable after a Clinton or Obama reign of terror.
I believe that is correct. The Republicans are going to suffer a bloodbath this fall. Blame it on McCain. Voters will be staying away from the polls in large numbers.
SNOWE FOR SENATE PORTLAND, ME $1,986 contributed by McCain campaign.

Isn't McCain the living definition of a RHINO?
This has been posted quite a few times already. Either we vote for McCain or we lose the Supreme Court. I’m not voting for McCain. He has stabbed all conservatives in the back and we are supposed to reward him by voting him in as POTUS. Screw him.
Interesting that some Freepers will condone this ridiculous government red tape to become a citizen.
Nah. If you vote for someone you don’t agree with, you will have wasted your vote. For such a candidate will assume he has a mandate and that is the worse possible outcome for the future will hold more of the same.
If ignoring McCain Kristol type candidates does not wake up the GOP, then let them sleep. Give them another wake up call in 2010 Congressional elections.
The VP nominee will be a big factor in whether I hold my nose and vote for McQueeg, or just leave the top of the ticket blank. He better pick a conservative who is qualified to be POTUS, not just somebody to pander to a voting bloc or geographic area.
Too many conservatives would rather complain than do anything positive. Look at freerepublic, how many childish retorts will there be complaining about McCain. Or the really stupid - there's no difference between parties or candidates. McCain and the republicans are wrong on some important things, but they are also sometimes right too. McCain is right on the war, spending, healthcare, judges. I can vote for someone for those things.
