Sometimes you do have to pick the lesser of two evils.

Actually you are underselling McCain by calling him the lesser of two evils. He is, as a matter of fact, one of the most conservative Senators. Secondly, he has a clear idea of who our enemy is. Thirdly, he is a crusader against government waste and spending, which is a core Conservative value. So he is much more than the lesser of two evils. He is a deserving candidate of his own merit.

Uh so just why do we have a most Liberal Senator Clinton to start with? BECAUSE THE GOP HAS ALLOWED THE DEMS TO GO YET EVEN FURTHER LEFT IN YET ANOTHER ELECTION. That needed to be shouted so maybe the party appologist will finally hear our voice. How does the GOP enable the DEMS to move further left that you might ask? By running persons as Liberal as the DEMs themselves. Gerald R Ford once, Poppy Bush twice, Bob Dole says once, GW bush twice, and now the arch GOP LIBERAL McCain only behind Hatch and Specter in being a blatant liberal. Hillary Clinton will run to the right of McCain and likely win. She'll do to McCain what hubby did to Liberal Poppy and Liberal Bob Dole says.

Wake up yourself Republicant's Party you're as dead in the water like a boat without so much as an oar. The GOP can give hundreds of reasons for it's failures. But all start with pathetic leadership at the very top of the party. This election cycle is no exception.

The following quote from a great American is the best comment I’ve seen on McCain’s run. It pretty well sums up the situation as I see it.

“John McCain, you treasonous bastard, …How dare you even think that you are qualified to sit in the oval office! Ronald Reagan’s office! President? Hah! You miserable excuse for a two-bit political hack, you’re not even qualified to shine Ronald Reagan’s boots. If you do run, I’m afraid you’re gonna be at least one vote short. It’ll be a cold day in hell before a traitor like you ever receives my vote. And that’s a campaign promise you can take to the bank.”

McCain is not the lesser of two evils. He has stated he doesn’t need the conservative vote. I’m okay with that, appears however a little panic is starting to set in with his RINO base.

If McCain wants this conservative’s vote he needs to move to the right, or he can just keep pandering to his Socialist friends.

I have no desire to enable the Republican National Socialist Party to continue.

In other words folks it is time for some tuff love.

McCain will appoint conservative judges.

BS. he hates conservatives and with his amnesty plan the left would not allow him to.

He gets the war on terror.

With his amnesty plan our troops will need to come to defend our country from within.

He is for lower taxes.

His amnesty plan will require billons in new taxes.

He is against drilling for oil in ANWAR, or other prestine areas.

My friend of 40 years and an avid McCain supporter said to me this morning, “You’re right, he isn’t worth our vote unless he moves to the right.

We must all act as one and hold our ground, he will move or his bid will fail.

I completely agree! We are caught between that rock and the hard place we have always heard about. The liberal socialist dems are the rock and McCain is the hard place. I am voting for McCain because the dems in total control is the worst nightmare I can imagine. I keep hoping that some of those who vow to never ever vote for McCain will soften up when they start hearing nObama on the stump for POTUS!

Well, let’s wake up and demand a new horse in this race!!!

We have a little less than four months to the convention. This is the only time can influence events.

McCain was not nominated by a majority of Republicans across the nation. Most had not even voted yet when he was coronated. His support came during open primaries when who knows who voted for him?

He wants “comprehensive immigration reform” read AMNESTY, he will speak at La Raza’s convention in July, he won’t drill in ANWR, he believes in globaloney and wants a cap and trade system, and he levelled a broadside at the NC GOP, which was on his side. This all in the last two weeks!!

Hello in there!!! Wake up BASE!!!! This guy is gonzo!!!

We can hope all we want, but the die is cast. He has screwed us before, and he intends to keep on doing it. Why not, we don’t protest. Pass the vaseline!

If the stakes are so high, and they are, why are we running this clown? Why are we HOPING he won’t be as bad as he is telegraphing?

The GOP Stockholm Syndrome Sisters can support McCain all they want, but you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.

Time to ditch McLoser before he causes anymore damage. An electorate poised for “change”, and the anti Bush, anti GOP sentiment that is out there, will hose McCain in the general to a Dukakis like result.

Okay, RonnieFan. I turned 18 in 1984. I was fortunate to be able to vote for Ronald Reagan that year. Since then my choices have been:

- 1988, George H. W. Bush
- 1992, George H. W. Bush
- 1996, Bob Dole
- 2000, George W. Bush
- 2004, George W. Bush
- 2008, John McCain

Enough, I say. If you want me to vote for a Republican, he or she had better be a conservative. By that I mean a conservative that honors and respects ALL of the United States Constitution. A conservative that values individual responsibility; one that is disdainful of government solutions for all societal ills. A conservative that will reduce the size and scope of Federal government. One who will value indiviual freedom over public safety. One who will secure our borders and ensure that our trade with foreign nations is both free and fair.

John McCain is none of those. After 20 years of voting for wishy-washy pantywaists who favor open borders, eviscerate our military and who do nothing but increase government intrusion, I’ve had enough. The Republican party in general, and John McCain in particular, can stick it where the sun doesn’t shine.

Wake up to what?

You want everyone to run out and work for RINOs that will only betray after the election? That’s exactly what is going on in the Party and the RNC.

Thanks, but no thanks.

I’ve gone back and forth and forth and back on this. I really dislike McQueeg for all the Right reasons. There is a critical path to my thinking now however.

The world is headed for WAR. Thank providence we have a strategic oil reserve cause we are going to need it. The one thing McQueeg may do right is strengthen the military and actually use it like it needs to be used.

This trumps everything. Everything.

I understand McCain is trying to get the New Online Obfuscation Bill ("NOOB") through Congress. Among many provisions, this legislation would make it illegal for political web sites to reveal the sign-on dates of members within 180 days of elections, thus permitting party operatives who've had no interest in conservative causes for many years to sign onto FRee Republic and other conservative forums without having their credibility challenged.

Sadly, this legislation is unlikely to make it through the Congress in time to materially affect the outcome of the election. Therefore, as a KKKapitalist Pig, first and foremost, I would be willing to lend my name and sign-on date to McCain operatives for the maximum FEC campaign contribution of $2000 per posting.

For additional fees for consulting services, I will be willing to provide information to Republican Party hacks concerning what an actual conservative position is on a given issue. I know this is an area -- like Arabic or Farsi speakers at CIA -- where you have problems. I was not educated in the American public school system and so have excellent analytical and writing skills, and have actually read the Constitution of the United States of America, the Federalist, and the Declaration of Independence; documents with which I know the McCain camp has struggled, particularly since the South Carolina Primary of 2000.

This is a serious (series) offer, only serious offers in reply, please, in confidence via FReepmail.

FRegards, FRed.

First you tell us to wake up.

Then you tell us to vote for McCain.

Do you have any idea how stupid that is?

Note also that aspects of the liberal agenda are very difficult to undo once they have been established. If a form of national healthcare is implemented, for example, as a practical matter there is no undoing it later on under a GOP admin and/or GOP congress.

Once people get their MTV, they don’t give it up.

BWAHAHAHAHA! Figuring out that McCain's "Giuliani Gambit" isn't working out any better for McCain than it did for Giuliani? ROTFLMAO!

You've made your bed, now go lie in it.

There are only two ways to win.

1.) Crater McCain before he craters the party. current leadership must step down, and cede the control of the party to the Conservatives. Then convince the Conservative base of principled intentions and loft a true blue Conservative as the nominee at the convention.

2.)A Conservative running as a third party or independent candidate.

With the exception of those two chances, all roads lead to Democrats.

with the Senate likely being a couple of RHINOs away from the magic 60.

So tell me.. what does RHINO stand for?

I know RINO stands for "Republican In Name Only."

I'm curious about this new term you use.

Or are you just ignorant and repeating things you've heard but cannot define?

Problem for McCain is he doesn’t want us awake, because we already are, he wants us to follow him like sheep and be quite and do as we are told.
