Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama spoke to a packed, cheering crowd of 2,300 at Bend's Summit High School Saturday, addressing a variety of issues and imploring his audience to help him "turn the page" and write a new chapter in U.S. history.
"How's it goin', Bend?" Obama said as he took the stage in an open-collar white shirt and rolled-up sleeves, pacing slowly back and forth as he touched on all the issues and took several questions from the audience over an hour-long span.
"Thank you everybody! Thank you so much!" he said. "What a wonderful crowd. Please, have a seat."
"I am so thrilled to be east of the mountains in Central Oregon," Obama said. "You guys have some pretty real estate out here. I want to stick around. Who's gonna teach me fishin'?"
What does, “How’s it going to bend mean?”
he parted the red sea as an encore....
Does this make 58 states Obama has been in now? Too bad his campaign managers won’t let him go to the great state of North Idaho, or Eastern North Carolina.

A Dem’ hunt’n license is a flyswatter and a permission note from PETA to be able to stun (not kill) 1 fly in return for 100 hours community service (throwing red paint on anyone using/wearing/eating animal products).

This guy's been to all 57 states and never been fishing? Not even when he visited Fishigan?

Catfish is dang good eatin’. If you’re fishing for it though, you should know that if it skritches you, you better rub its belly on the wound. (The belly has natural antibackterial slime that keeps it safe from the mucky pond bottom)
That’s a trick I learned from my wonderful, southern hubby. :-)
