“But the Missouri Supreme Court struck down the photo ID requirement as an unconstitutional burden on voting rights.”
Only “legal minds”, could come to that laughably ridiculous, anti-real world conclusion.
Gee it’s obvious who needs to cheat to win.
Yet Stevens wrote that the law does not single out groups of voters for different treatment. "We cannot conclude that the statute imposes 'excessively burdensome requirements' on any class of voters," he said. That opinion suggested the outcome could be different in a state where voters could provide evidence that their rights had been impaired. Indiana provides IDs free of charge to people without driver's licenses.
It may be helpful to states that wish to implement voter ID laws to furnish ID's free of charge. It could eliminate claims of discrimination, even though such claims are ridiculous.
Hey, we can’t let St.Louis and East St. Louis lose the vote fraud title. There’s lot of competition out there.
Mostly from Democrat controlled cities.
Dems treat voter ID cards like vampires treat stakes or sunlight.
The only problem I see in MO with this is that State ID is not free. That would change the whole equation becuase the case before the SCOTUS was for a state that issues them for free. Then you get into the whole “poll tax” thing.
It really is the only answer to the fraud that goes on in St Louis. Its just incredible. The first mistake of W’s administration was appointing Ashcroft so he wouldn’t fight the election that he lost because of fraud here in StL. They were trying to get along and look what it got ‘em.
Ok Barry.
Resistance to Voter ID legislation is an infuriatingly transparent effort to facilitate voter fraud. Legislators who vote on it and judges who rule on it know this perfectly well, and they will serve as a barometer of just how corrupt our government has become.
Of course the Democrats would throw up roadblocks. How else with they and their union thugs continue to manufacture fake votes when people are forced to have a photo ID? They’d have to get rid of their motto “Vote early and vote often”.
“I hope all 57 states pass such a law before November... “
Hopefully John McCain won’t try to stop the effort like he did in Arizona.
