The only problem I see in MO with this is that State ID is not free. That would change the whole equation becuase the case before the SCOTUS was for a state that issues them for free. Then you get into the whole “poll tax” thing.
It really is the only answer to the fraud that goes on in St Louis. Its just incredible. The first mistake of W’s administration was appointing Ashcroft so he wouldn’t fight the election that he lost because of fraud here in StL. They were trying to get along and look what it got ‘em.

“That measure required voters to show a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport. Those lacking photo identification could get a free one from the state.

But the Missouri Supreme Court struck down the photo ID requirement as an unconstitutional burden on voting rights. It noted the IDs were not truly free, because there was a cost for the birth certificates or other underlying documents people might need to obtain the government-issued identification.”

The ID was free but the stupid judge said it was still an undue burden because they had to pay for birth certificates. Of course, if they need birth certificates for anything else, it wouldn’t be an undue burden. Asshat judges.
