The City Council put aside more than three months of internal bickering and hand-wringing, narrowly approving efforts that take the first step toward removing popular Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, who faces perjury and other charges related to explicit text messages sent to a former aide.

The devil in me hopes that Grandmole keeps Kwamie in office just to punish the Detroiters who elected Kwamie in the first place. They made their bed and they can sleep in it.
Grandmole can claim cover by not wanting to disenfranchise the democrats who elected Kwamie.

The WXYZ web site also has a report about the Detroit crime lab doing an audit on the Tamara Greene case. I imagine a new show: CSI: Detroit, where the lab techniques are sloppy and Kwame is arrested at the end of every episode.

I CAN NOT believe this story is not being picked up and driven home by fox, talk radio, etc. I have given up on the msm, but was hoping the rest would bring it front and center. Thanks for the links!
