Texas Megachurch Minister Drives 200 Miles to Have Sex With 13-Year-Old Girl

Texas: Plano man Joe Barron, 52, a minister at Prestonwood Baptist Church near Dallas, was arrested after driving nearly 200 miles to Bryan to meet who he thought was a 13-year-old girl he had been chatting with sexually online for roughly two weeks.

The girl was actually an undercover agent leading police to Barron and his car, inside of which they found condoms and a web-cam. He had been with the 26,000-member church for 18 months; they said this was the first incident of this type with Barron.

Executive pastor Mike Buster said, "We are disturbed and saddened by the reports we have heard and we are praying for the Barron family," adding that they are giving police their full cooperation. He is currently out on bond from Brazos County Jail.

Yeah, the family always suffers. But you better believe that this wasn’t his first opportunity to dive into young flesh. Bet this man has a loooong history with this type of abnormal behavior.

I read something about millstones somewhere. IMO they should throw these creeps into a no exit prison built only for those who prey on children.

Personally I’d like to see Chris Hanson given the Chris Hanson treatment. Just something a little uppity bout him.

“Once homosexual marriage is adopted in every state this will be the next thing to be made legal. Believe me, its on the homo agenda.”

Isn’t that the purpose of that adult/child group NAMBA or NAMBLA or something like that? They want to legalize sex between adults and minors? Well, Ruth Bader Ginsburg may support it since she was the jurist who said that the age of consent for sexual relations should be 12 years old.

It wouldn’t surprise me if she thinks it should be even younger. Ruth Bader Ginsburg is sick!

I searched but apparently not good enough.

I never really thought about posting it under "Religion" since his alleged crime did not appear to by part of his church duties.

"Wow...bad enough when a Reverend gets caught in sexual sin...but involvement with a minor child is off the charts."

And he had a web cam. He was way beyond sexual sin with a child. He was intending to make child pornography, possibly to sell.

Well, now, Ruthie probably didn’t mean that for HER child - just children of the mindless peasant masses.

One of the problems with judges - and clergy, for that matter - is that they think they’ve moved beyond the “normal” standards and that nothing they do will - or should - affect them.

Agree 100% The members of that church should refuse to set foot in it until he is let go.

Yes. There will be a big push for Boy/Man love. The way things are going, in fifty years it will be common place.

Sad.

Where was his wife? Why wasn’t he satisfied with her? Why did they allow the marriage to keep their time apart like this? I hope he goes to jail, and I hope she is not pregnant.

Just checked the church’s website. It’s a liberal, modern church with rock music and a ‘come as you are’ attitude. No wonder the Bible is not their standard. No wonder pastors stray to girls. No telling what the wives do online...
