I have read more than a few theories that Babylon the Great represents America. I’m not saying I agree, but it is interesting to read Rev. 17 and 18 in that hypothetical context.

That 'creative editing' is to be expected from the current lot of 'journalists' does not validate it as news.

I am saying that "the current lot of journalists" is as good as any past lot of journalists.

That is, I am pointing out that journalism is completely cynical about the public and about its own "ethical standards." And that the only coherent response is to be completely cynical about journalism.

Satan's counterfeit of “the male child” will be a male (the Antichrist is always referred to as a “he” in scripture) whom the dragon (Satan) will give power and his throne and his authority (Rev. 13:2) “...The whole world was astonished and followed the beast (Rev. 13:3)

Because Satan is an enemy and adversary to Israel, the Antichrist will also be an enemy to her and seek out her destruction. The most deceptive part is that it will appear at first that this person is “friendly” toward her by garnering a (false) “peace” agreement for her.

One thing's for sure, the Antichrist will appear at some point on earth and his followers will be blind to his deceit. Very likely similar to what we are witnessing in the following of Obama. It does make you go hmmm...
