The shine is off Clintonia 'Yesterday's gone' has new twist for Clintons
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 5/18/8 | Debra J. Saunders

Barack Obama is like a shot of Botox. Support him, and you take 10 years off your face. You join the cool crowd. You become one with idealistic kids and Hollywood glitterati.

Clinton Democrats can't compete. They're on the outside looking in. They used to be hip. They were the bad boys, who scoffed at finger-wagging conservatives. Now, they have traded in their saxophones for a pantsuit.

The glamour is gone. Once, their very politics, the simple fact that they registered as Democrats instead of Republicans, made them better than meat-and-potatoes America. They cared more. They were smarter. They knew how to play the system. They were destined to run things.

Now they are trailing behind an upstart junior senator.

Before Iowa, when the Clintons were the party's power couple, the faithful quickly became indignant at any criticism, deserved or not, of either Clinton. As Obama racks up more delegates, Republicans and Democrats can say anything they want about either Clinton, and there is no outrage. Worse, it is now apostasy to criticize Obama.

Even if they were white, middle-aged and living in mostly white enclaves, Clintonians had a quick ticket to the votes of black America. If a Republican said something that could be construed as racist, they did not hesitate to pull the race card.

Now the "First Black President" and his missus, Hillary, are the race-baiters. The world is upside down.

And they look like crybabies when they try to pull the gender card. It just isn't fair.

In the good ol' days, even when they lost a battle with Congress, their losses were sanitized by the news that they were riding high in the polls. Now, every time they stumble, it is further proof - not that further proof is needed, pundits pile on...

I’ve been meaning to say this for a long time...

Somebody must have told Hillary, “Hey, when you put on a ‘Wow, it’s YOU’ look of surprise and point at the person, you look REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY GOOD!”

What is it? 90% of her photos have that pose? There are more pics of “pleasantly surprised Hillary pointing at somebody” than there are of photos of Fred Astaire dancing.

You've got it exactly right. There is a written story about Hillary - how her plane landed at a campaign stop and there were NO supporters waiting for her.

She still did the surprise pointing thing, to an advisor that was on the plane with her.

Did you see the article about how this “spotting in a crowd, pointing and laughing” is fake? Recently did pulled this and was caught waving to photographers (instead of a crowd because there was none) and looking surprised and pointing and laughing delightedly at an aide she had just seen two minutes before.

Caption for photo of the clintons pointing.

“Hey doesn't that guy look a little like ‘whats his name’?

They ALWAYS point and grin at the crowd, I'll bet they are NOT pointing at someone they know, they are total phonies. They just want it to look like they have friends.

The fickle, fickle MSM, who don’t like to be crossed, and are always looking for “new replacements”, finally found one in Obama, enough like a newer, shinier version of Clinton, so that they can shed the Clinton-skin at last, and “try something new”.The MSM apparently has discovered that it’s been “jilted” by the Clintons, but they didn’t discover it until Obama came along, stirring up huge crowds, and presenting himself as an “alternative” to everything and everyone. The MSM have aided and abetted the slow and gentle public crucifixion of the Clintons, in the same way the Oprah brought on James Frey for a televised flogging—he was the author she supported with her Book Club until she found out his rehab “memoir” was largely fiction. The Clintons paved the way for their own demise, and are too stupid and stubborn to see it. THe MSM and the wide range of Obama acolytes see in Obama a new Clinton for a post 9-11 world. That’s how he was packaged, and that’s how he’s been sold. And it ain’t progress, and it ain’t any improvement over the Clintons by any means: he and his wife are more like Diversity-Nightmare versions of Billary than anything “new”.

Well, I’m with you - that pose has got to be staged - what are the chances that someone that Hillary knows is actually in the audience - that close to the stage?

Also, what’s with the mouth practically wide open all the time? The only other event that has that sort of thing is when someone wins a beauty contest.

I’ve not seen an article, but go to the url below - basically “Politics as Performance Art” indicates that pointing to the crowd is staged.

http://www.nocaptionneeded.com/index.php?s=gestures

I’ve not even thought about that fact that even going on stage and coming off the stage is staged and planned, in Hillary’s case - it’s hard to catch her is unscripted moments.

It’s mere ageism. Nobody has wised up about the Clintons, they’re just not issuing free passes to post-menopausal harpies and decrepit moral degenerates who look like Dorian Gray cooling off.

...90% of her photos have that pose... - Several months ago Hillary had her eyebrows stapled in the raised position. It was at the same time the laugh / cackle program was installed and some industrial grade grout was trowled all over her face.

I tried to find the article but couldn’t. It basically described how she staged a big photo op that was supposed to look as though she was waving to crowds when in fact the crowd was almost all photographers. Then she did the “surprise, point, wave and laugh” trick at an aide she had just been talking to 2 minutes before on the plane.

LOL

This article isn’t a week old I don’t think....just couldn’t locate it. I thought it was the Washington Post - or maybe the NYT - I was surprised at the bitchiness since it was from the LSM.

she can point like that and smile and big eyed and act surprised but...in a crowd you could be pointing at NO ONE. I think it is a gesture they both use to make it look like they just spotted someone who is their friend. All kinds of gimmicks with the clintins eh?

Remember theri song “dont’ stop thinkin’ about tomorrow?” Well, Now it should be: “Better stop thinin’ about the Presidency.” Ha,ha. I’m thrilled.
