I really see this election as a great opportunity for Republicans to capture the Hispanic vote for many years to come.

Are you joking? How many members of the Hispanic caucus are Republicans? Answer: None. The majority of Hispanics have and will vote Dem. It is a form of self-delusion to believe otherwise.

The Republicans’ Hispanic Delusion: Amnesty is not just wrong in principle, it’s bad politics.

Then give up and forget ever winning another election. Republicans will only get about 55-60% of the white vote and about 6-8% of the black vote. The only other opportunity to gain is with Hispanics and if we allow Dems to turn them into welfare wards than forget it. We need to consistently get 40% of Hispanics and a conservative message will resonate with them. I live and work around Hispanics and I guarantee the only reason they vote Dems is because they have been convinced the Republicans are just rich white guys who hate everybody.

It has to be a grassroots effort.
