Oh, it showed the new posts to me once, after I posted this thread. Then it went back to saying the last update was at like 10:40 Pacific time.

Then it showed me I had new mail. So I read it. A mail sent on 5/10 that I had already read like twice at least.

Unless FR stabilizes in a usefull form, I am done making donations. Being a programmer for a large corporation, I can tell you if I changed the presentation to folks without suitable beta testing I’d be out on my arse so quick it’d make your head spin.

Just because somebody knows Java, that don’t mean they know programming.

I double checked and other sites were fine.

It’s getting real old.

I think there are morning server issues. I am getting "document does not exist on server" messages myself, occasionally. In additon, I have to hit "refresh" in order to see my new posts some times while in a thread.

However, the default question here should be "Am I logged in?" ; )

Hitting refresh multiple times seems to do the trick but I still keep going back to the 10:58 post...

The server crashed and Free Republic servers are only beginning to bring up threads that went down earlier this morning. Have the patience of Job. I can post now but it may be awhile before Freepers can view all thread replies on this forum.

There was a reply from MsDidi and it disappeared. I was trying to respond to her post and it said document doesn’t exist. FR has been down the better part of the morning.

I haven’t been able to view FreeRepublic sidebars with my Opera-browser cell phone. I used to check breaking news all the time on the road, but ever since they ‘fixed’ CSS and code, it has been a skinny, unreadable list of links.

It worked fine up until about two weeks ago.
