Muslim Obama: ‘WILL STAND WITH MUSLIMS SHOULD POLITICAL WINDS SHIFT IN UGLY DIRECTION’
American Conservative ^ | 03.29.08 | Grant Swank

This is what Barack Obama said following 9/11: “In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

I think a few words are missing from the quote. It was something like “They needed my assurance that I will stand with them if the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

I imagine his story will be that he will stand with people of every nationality if the political winds shift in an ugly direction. He’s the Kumbaya Candidate.

“What a combo: Muslim Commie!”

And with the inside track to be the next Commander in Chief.

God Bless America?

God Help America.

What’s wrong with that statement? If their were riots in US after 9/11 (thank God their weren’t and not one person got harmed and that is tribute to the greatness of this nation) and muslims were under attack in US, not only Obama but President Bush would stand with them to protect them. Same goes for all other minorities as well.

If you are gonna pick on a guy, at least do it on something legitimate.

Yes, but will he stand with us against the Muslims if the winds shift in an ugly direction?

“..hard stares from neighbors..”

Christians in Muslim countries are subjected to much more than that.

Sadly, the only person I remember getting harmed after 9/11 due to “anti-Muslim bigotry” wasn’t even a Muslim. Somebody shot and killed a Sikh.

I think it shows just how proud we can be of America and Americans that after 9/11, there was so little anti-Muslim violence. No riots, no cars burning in the streets, no Muslim shops on fire, no Arab-American bodies hanging from lightposts. Muslims riot over silly cartoons and teddy bears.

I wonder whether the name on his birth certificate is Mohammed Barak Hussein Obama. Muslims I know and know about often have Mohammed as their first name, though they go by their second name. I wouldn’t want to say for sure, but I hope someone is digging out that certificate.

I discovered it came from his book Audacity of Hope, page 261:

"Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

Don’t you think if that were the case, someone would have found out by now? And what difference does it make what his first name is?

More complete quote:

"Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. “The Audacity of Hope,” page 261 (paperback version)
He's talking about the mistreatment of American citizens, specifically immigrants and uses Muslims as an example. You have a problem with that?

Bad. Very bad. Electing him is a message to the jihadis and the marxists that the country is theirs.

“and hard stares from neighbors”

Boo hoo. What did they expect, a handshake and a slap on the back?

On September 12, 2001, we should have stopped issuing all temporary and student visas for Muslims.
