Have a friend who went through a nasty divorce and was in debt for a substantial amount of money. He did all he could to avoid bankruptcy. He sent notice’s to all his credit card company’s stating more or less,if they would work with him,he would pay them off.All but Home depot told him to go scratch, and he owed them roughly 15,000 dollars.
Home Depot never raised his interest rates, and never sent him anything other than his bill.Never even called him.
He paid his bill and they gave him an extra 10,000 dollar limit on his card.
Considering that,I have a good impression of them.

I have a relative with the exact opposite experience with Home Depot Credit Vulture Services.

Your friend’s case sounds as though they simply weren’t tending to their account oversight responsibilities.

Like I say, I have heard of worse credit screwups there and ones which didn’t end auspiciously for the borrower.
