Texas children roped into Islamic training
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | May 30, 2008 | Bob Unruh

Public school students at Friendswood Junior High in the Houston area have been roped into Islamic training by representatives from the Council on American-Islamic Relations during class time, prompting religious leaders to protest over Principal Robin Lowe's actions.

Pastor Dave Welch, spokesman for the Houston Area Pastor Council, confirmed the indoctrination had taken place and called it "unacceptable."

"The failure of the principal of Friendswood Junior High to respect simple procedures requiring parental notification for such a potentially controversial subject, to not only approve but participate personally in a religious indoctrination session led by representatives of a group with well-known links to terrorist organizations and her cavalier response when confronted, raises serious questions about her fitness to serve in that role," the pastors' organization said.

According to a parent, whose name was withheld, the children were given the Islamic indoctrination during time that was supposed to be used for a physical education class.

"I am simply trying to get the word out to those whose kids may not have told them about an Islamic presentation that all kids were required to attend," wrote the parent, who was working to assemble protests to the school board.

WND previously has reported how public school textbooks being used across the nation have begun promoting Islam, teaching even the religious doctrines.

Are the Texas social workers going to grab the children, or is this a culturally sanctioned event?

There are several potential futures for North America. Balkanization with devolution (5 separate republics on the NA continent), an Iron fisted plutocracy masquerading as democrary like in Russia, or (my favorite) degeneration into a multi-racial territorial driven second rate republic like India.

The parents have to demand, the administration be fired. No exceptions, treat the principal like a ships captain. His watch, his responsibility.

Don't demand a Christian response instead demand a hour of the Constitution, specifically the Bill of Rights.

If the school board doesn't provide this, vote them out, that they will understand.

Round up every CAIR creep involved, line them up in front of a ditch, execute the lot, and push some dirt on top.
CAIR’s function is to bring about the destruction of our way of life. The only way to stop them is extermination.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Well, “separation of church and state” really means exclusion of Christianity from any public life.

“Multiculturalism” means denegration of the Western Culture.

“Diversity” means anything non-white.

You get the idea.

Good idea! Hold a recall election.

By the way...Do you honestly believe that the liberal/Marxists, homosexuals, feminazis running the government schools could teach anything about the Constitution? They would be teaching the children that it was a “living” document, and give all the students a copy to use for toilet paper!

Speaking of suing, I would suggest that the parents, acting on behalf of their children, might have a good constitutional law suit against the school ditrict, the principal, and CAIR. The grounds: violating the chidren’s constitutional right to freedom of religion.

Freedom of Religion, doesn't mean Freedom from Religion. This is a common belief on FR.

The downside is when you live in a Muslim school district, your children get Muslim religious training.

Freedom of religion doesn't mean Freedom from religion.

It does in the sense of freedom from being involuntarily exposed to religious indocrination programs on or in public property, which seems to be what happened to the children in this instance.

The downside is when you live in a Muslim school district, your children get Muslim religious training.

Public schools are not for sectarian religious training, according to our courts' interpretation of the Constitution. If parents wish their children to have sectarian religious training in a specific religious tradition, they should send them to private sectarian institutions for such purposes. Furthermore, I get the impression that the school district in question here is not a predominantly "Muslim school district."

This is another reason why public schools should be abolished. But that is about as likely to happen as Americans waking up one day tired of being slaves and yearning to be free men again.

You might be right about that. Some of the kids were not listening at all. Doing their text messaging thing, etc. A couple of parents I talked to told me so.

Not many brain surgeons ever came out of Friendswood. Roughly zero that I know of.

You don't know much about Friendswood ISD. It is a fantastic school district. The kids are much brighter than than Robin Lowe in this case. And Friendswood is a VERY Christian town. That's why there is so much blowback over this issue.

And you know so much about Friendswood, just how?

Friendswood ISD graduates a lot of bright kids that mostly go on to college and well beyond, including to medical school. I would be very surprised if there wasn’t at least one over the years that went on to become a neurosurgeon, as the nearby Houston Medical Center is one of the largest and best collection of medical facilities in the World. There probably are a few neurosurgeon living in Friendswood as well, as it is a rather upscale bedroom community for Houston.

Unless, like myself, you spent your 2nd - 12th grades IN the FISD - I'd guess I know more about the FISD than you do.

I've been somewhat intimately familiar with the 'tards that take classes there, the 'tards that teach them, and the 'tards that administer the entire charade.

Do you work for the FISD? Just asking. At any rate I'll repeat that there are NO brain surgeons in Friendswood today - not that graduated in Friendswood. I'd bet my last buck on that.

And - there are NO students that paid enough attention to the lesson to remember it today. Unless, of course, there's some little daddy's-girl type that takes notes of everything throughout the day. THEN you might have identified someone that can look up the happenings of the day.

"Christian town" - [guffaw]. That ended with the Blue Laws.

IMO, of course.
