The Syrian story is far from over: in fact, on October 23, Al Seyassah ran a story about potential new secret nuclear sites in Syria. According to Western sources cited by the paper, it is possible that Syria is developing other nuclear sites with the help of North Korea, Iran and Iraqi experts, the latter who fled their country at the start of the Iraq war in 2003. In fact, observation satellites have allegedly located in Syria at least two other sites similar to the one destroyed by Israel last month.
Iran's handwriting is all over the wall from the chemical to the nuclear arms program in Syria. Indeed, in research conducted last year as part of an article published in Washington's The Examiner, this reporter delved into Syrian's secret nuclear program, making the point that Syria might actually be "Plan B" for Iran. By helping develop nuclear sites in Syria, strikes on Iran might turn out to be useless. This was a smart strategy until Israel bombed the Syrian nuclear site on September 6 and made the world notice.

The new secret Air Force stealth bomber will take care of all this.
Yeah, it probably has to do with our ethanol program using up all the corn the Iranians eat. ;’) I just hope the US economy doesn’t get completely destroyed by the Iranian government, I’ve been unable to sleep nights. ;’)
The problem of course is, once we use it on Iran, it won’t be all that secret. ;’)
The new secret stealth bomber is so stealthy it will complete its stealth mission so stealthily that Iran won’t even notice something happened until they can’t find the parking lot Monday morning.
“Israel did not just bomb a nuclear site in the early stages.”
I believe the trigger for the attack was a delivery from NK. If you recall, at the time of the attack, there was an NK ship in port in Syria. It was supposed to be loaded with cement. “Cement” Uh huh! The ship left immediately.
:’) Hey, if we’re just gonna bomb parking lots, it better be during their use as military parade grounds.
:’)
I wonder why we just don't take care of these things from outer space. Cement? How about six or eight tons of cement arriving from Vandenburg via low orbit at 14,000 mph? Think that'd take care of whatever they were working on? Why ask those nice young Izzy airdales to place themselves at risk again? Our turn, I believe.
I have read speculation that the cargo was actually a plutonium pit, or enough refined plutonium to make one, for a nuclear weapon. The North Koreans were just clearing out their shelves of fissile material before having to declare all the nuclear stuff they have as a result of the Six Party talks. Thoughtful of them, eh?
The plutonium was to be mated with a nuclear device which was the result of Iran helping the Syrians complete work started by Saddam Hussien and dumped in Syria when he got rid of all his WMD stuff.
Further evidence that the cargo was fissile material is that the Syrians immediately bulldozed 40' of sand over the site after Israel turned it into little tiny pieces. You don't do that if had been a reactor "under construction", without nuclear fuel.
I'd be interested if you, or anyone, can point me to new info on this situation....to my mind it is one of the key potential triggers for whatever comes next.
