May 2008 had the lowest number of American casualties in Iraq, for any month since the start of the war. http://icasualties.org/oif/

For the next lowest month for casualties you have to go all the way back to February 2004.

Yes, the war in Iraq is being won. Now will Obama who called for American troops to be pulled out in 2007 accept that McCain saved the country from another Vietnam style defeat by pushing for the surge (when the surge was politically a losing proposition)? If Obama had his way Al Qaeda would be in control of Iraq now.

AP reported this, but they had to use a headline which included: “, But Will It Last?”

Thus proving once more that they are not much better than slimeballs.

I can see the screaming headlines above the fold on all tomorrow's major newspapers...

Oh, look - a pig just flew by my window...

Who decided to release this incredible news on a Saturday night?

I thought Scott McClellan quit two years ago?

I heard some a~shole politician boasting on some show last week that "10 Americans died over the last 2 days!"

The ghoul had probably been waiting weeks for a good opportunity like that in the middle of reports like these.

Thanks for posting this, the best news in 5 years, for Iraq, the US, and my nephew who is an Army Ranger. Also, no hostile casualties in a full week. In Mexico, 190 police offices were killed last year in clashes with drug cartels. No one says Mexico is in a civil war.

This is an unpopular proposal but we should send a couple thousands of Marines to crush the drug cartels in Mexico. I mean we know where they are. They control entire provinces and their headquarters are not exactly a secret.
