Bob Beckel Seems Very Worried.
Beckel is a Beckel supporter.
The Obama team certainly has more than enough to disqualify him from the White House, but I still don't think they've reached the depths of the Clintons. One must realize, though, that the Obamas haven't been in politics anywhere near as long, nor have they had the same level of power. So they haven't yet murdered anyonone, nor have they stolen FBI files of political opponents, nor have they given miltary technology to China in exchange for illegal contributions, etc., etc. - at least to the best of our knowledge.
Qualitatively similar to the Clintons? You might have a point. Quantitatively? I should hope that they don't get the opportunity to show what they are fully capable of.
Just the other day, I was having a sandwich at Carusos in Hayden. I happened to be wearing a ‘Viva la Reagan Revolucion!’ t-shirt – you know – the one that mocks the iconic Che Guevera model. A younger guy got up from his seat with his family, came over to me and said, “I really like your t-shirt.” Before I could reply around a mouthful of BLT, he continued, “I’m afraid for this country. I don’t know what to do…”
That gave me a chance to think, swallow my mouthful, and I responded with this: “I know. There is no good outcome from this election. Defend your life, defend your family, don’t give in and – keep your powder dry.” He thought for a second, nodded in agreement and walked away.
Wow. When strangers come up to you and say things like that, you know that what has occurred to us is doubtless occurring to many others.
The animated contest awaits us all, I think. My tagline makes more sense with each passing day.
Take notice of the fact that HRC did not concede the nomination last night. That might be an indication that she’s thinking of some “nuclear option.”
Obama is just trying to buy time if there is one to allow this thing to die down so no one will be agasht.
As tired as I am with this protracted presidential campaign, I’m growing even more tired of hearing about this “video.”
But hey, at least there’s no Brittany articles..............
The test as to whether this tape exists is whether B. ‘HO picks Hillary for VP. There is NOTHING that will turn Dims away from their spiritual consort Bee HO.
Of course that would also mean the Dims would be a sure thing for the POTUS in November.... and Hillary would be a sure thing for POTUS by November 2010.
Yah... I know.... the next presidential election will not be held until 2012.....
Just got back form a 4200 mile road trip taking my Mom to visit her sole surviving sibling in her family (Mom is 83 and her sister is 82) down in Houston. Spent two weeks on this trip, which also gave my wife, who has been taking care of Mom for the last two years, a much needed two week break.
Anyhow, at service stations and parks all along the way the mood is similar.
Assuming the tape exists:
1) The RNC or a friendly 527 probably has the tape
2) The “rumors” on the internet are psych ops against Obama and his campaign (and the MSM as well)
3) The tape will not be released until Obama has locked up the nomination air tight (it seems he already has)
4) Hillary is not going to concede while there is a chance the tape could end Obama’s candidacy
5) If the tape is released sometime this summer then superdelegates will abandon Obama and rush to Hillary
6) Hillary will try to blame the tape’s release solely on the Repubs, thus trying to re-ingratiate herself with African American voters, Bill’s one time most loyal supporters
7) African American voters by and large will not buy the Clinton’s spin that they didn’t play any part in the tape’s release, there will be incredible anger in the African American community over the Obama campaign’s demise
8) Hillary attracts only 50% of the African American vote (at best) in the general
Still don’t think “Osama” Obama would choose her as a running mate if the choice was his alone. But there’s also the possibility that he is made “an offer he can’t refuse.”

I did not know that about Beckel, whom I have always despised. Boy, Faux News Channel sure loves to bring on these types, eh?
If it were not for Brit Hume, Chris Matthews, and a smattering of others, I would not spend any time on that channel.
Remember when Clinton was deposed and we had insiders swearing that he “blew up” and was outraged all over the place? Then when the real tape came out it showed him getting only a little flustered.
I think the same thing is happening here.

Some friends of mine who are staunch Clintonistas..have emailed saying “okay, give me some reasons to vote for McCain, as I don’t want to vote or Obama.” I was floored.
