RUSH: Newsweek magazine, the new cover. The cover is of Obama, and they put another halo on his head! The original picture did not have a halo, but the wife of editor Jon Meacham walked in, saw it, didn't like it. So Newsweek changed the cover photo of Obama with a halo and a bright light behind him because the editor's wife didn't like the original.

Or perhaps a Joe 'Photoshop' Stalin quality... especially that Rolling Stone cover. That's weird.

The hagiophotography has only just begun. I can hardly wait for the podium scene in Denver. I half expect he will appear wearing a robe and sandals. And if he shows up at an outdoor picnic between now and then, I assume there will be twelve others seated at his table, one of whom might just be Hillary (coins in hand).

Notice that in every one of these photos the subject is higher than the viewer. This is typical photoengineering to cause the viewer to “look up” to the person.

Yup
These mag covers also remind me of the Chairman Mao personality cult.
Hey, where's the Newsweek “halo” cover then?
right now, Newsweek, Time, etc put the Pravda of Stalin's communist Soviet Union to shame.
Its enough to make one throw up.

His poses remind me A LOT of Benito Mussolini. He does not resemble him physically at all, but his stance, his head position and his facial expressions are spot-on.

I love the pure propaganda of the Time cover. The 'halo' the breathless headline "How Much Does Experience Matter?" along with the bullet point "Why science says it may be overrated".

Why of course! Experience! It's Overrated! Looking for a good doctor? Get one with no experience, right?! Right! Want to hire a plumber? Look for the rookie. Better yet, get someone who never even attended trade school to tackle your gas water heater. No experience? No problem... until the house goes up in a ball of flame.

Using Time mags logic, we should look for the least experienced nitwit and believe that to be the best. Just how much B.S. does Time think we'll swallow.

Obama's ardent followers, including the MSM, are not swayed be logic, reason, or truth. To them, regardless of his positions, his gaffes, his past, or his associations, he is an idol.

Nothing you can say or do will convince these people otherwise...

Because I am the one they and I have been waiting for...and I am lovin' it.

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH ABOUT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA

Those wild eyed people represent the millions of Americans raised in the government day-care and indoctrination centers we call public schools who did not have, or would not listen to, parents and others who tried to counterweight the garbage they heard at school...who have been raised on 60 second sound bite time spans and know no better.

You have other tens of millions on the dole who will vote for him regardless of position because he promises to keep pilfering the public largess for them.

Still othes of millions will vote for him simply because he is black.

Other millions will vote for him because they know exactly who he is and what he represents and agree with his anti-American positions.

The first three are all what is termed, useful idiots, a term coined by Lenin for the dupes he got to support him.

Against this it is left to us to educate, arouse, and amass the tens of millions of Americans who understand and hold fast to the foundational principles our constitutional republic rests upon...many of them the bitter, rural Americans clinging to their guns and religion that Obama so arrogantly spoke of.

And then there's this one which seems to make the "Q" a little more halo-like than on most of their covers:

In that vein...

The Obama Aesthetic

Obama's On-the-Wall Endorsement ["Obey Obama"]

The Art of Politics ["Obey Obama" - Obama's official poster-maker loves Stalin, Mao, etc]

I wanted to make an art piece of Barack Obama because I thought an iconic portrait of him could symbolize and amplify the importance of his mission. I believe Obama will guide this country to a future where everyone can thrive and I should support him vigorously for the sake of my two young daughters. I have made art opposing the Iraq war for several years, and making art of Obama, who opposed the war from the start, is like making art for peace. I know I have an audience of young art fans and I’m delighted if I can encourage them to see the merits of Barack Obama.” -Shepard Fairey

http://www.barackobama.com/issues/additional/Obama_FactSheet_Arts.pdf

Barack Obama: A Champion for Arts and Culture
A Platform In Support of the Arts
[excerpt]

Create an Artist Corps: Barack Obama supports the creation of an "Artist Corps" of young artists trained to work in low-income schools and their communities. Studies in Chicago have demonstrated that test scores improved faster for students enrolled in low-income schools that link arts across the curriculum than scores for students in schools lacking such programs.

TIME Magazine proclaimed God “dead”, the Unabomber a mad genius, Rush Limbaugh wrong for America, and has proclaimed Obama the winner several times over. All on the cover of their magazine.

True some had statements underneath to question the idiotorial headline (like “Obama COULD win”) but if they didn’t believe these things, they wouldn’t be on the cover.

Get this trash out of our public schools and libraries now. I’m sick of paying for subcriptions to Time-Lies with my tax dollars.

There’s a big, brown cloud in the city,
And the countryside’s a sin.
An’ the price of gas is too high to give up,
Gotta come down again.
When the world wide war is over and done,
And the dream of peace comes true.
We’ll all be drinkin’ free gin & juice,
and Eatin’ Obama stew.

When they find out how to burn water,
And the gasoline car is gone.
When an airplane flies without any fuel,
And the satellite heats our home.
One of these days when the air clears up,
And the sun comes shinin’ through.
We’ll all be drinkin’ free gin & juice,
and eatin’ Obama stew.

Eatin’ Obama stew in a silver spoon,
Underneath that sky of blue.
All be drinkin’ free gin & juice,
An’ eatin’ Obama stew.

You don’t have to get high to get happy,
Just think about what’s in store.
When people start doin’ what they oughta be doin’,
Then they won’t be booin’ no more.
When Obama goes through the White House door,
An’ does what he says he’ll do.
We’ll all be drinkin’ free gin & juice,
and eatin’ Obama stew.

Eatin’ Obama stew in a silver spoon,
Underneath that sky of blue.
We’ll all be drinkin’ that free gin & juice,
and eatin’ Obama stew.

(apologies to Merle)
