Dear Freepers: It is Time to Support John McCain
June 5 2008
| jveritas
Posted on 06/05/2008 6:25:12 PM PDT by jveritas
In this election we have very a clear choice to make.
A choice between Victory against Islamic Terrorism or surrender to our terrorist enemy.
A choice between free market capitalist economy or socialism.
A choice between constructionist judges or liberal judges who legislate from the bench.
A choice between Life for the unborn or abortion on demand going wild.
A choice between lower taxes or higher taxes.
A choice between small government or big government.
A choice between John McCain or Barack Obama.
Let us choose John McCain. A Patriot, a war hero, and would be an excellent President.
God Bless America and our brave troops.

A choice between bad and worse.
The lesser of two evils is still evil. I’m not even sure I can hold my nose and vote this time around, JV. McCain is just pathetic.

I agree we must all come together and vote for McCain. I am not a fan of his but the alternative of a Marxist in the white house is more than I can cope with. Amen.

Democrats will have a veto proof Congress. McCain can’t do much. He will go along with the Democrats as usual. You go on ahead.

If we're to go down the road the same way Jimmah took us then I'd rather have a Demo-rat in office to do it so it won't be blamed on a Republican ... in either case, McCain or Obama, which horn of the dilemma do you want?

I don’t think he would be an excellent POTUS. His wacky stance on the global warming B.S. is cause for concern. He is part of Big gubmint. If I vote for him it will be with my nose firmly held.
To: jveritas
Sorry, but I’m not buying. Let the moderate RINOs who nominated him support him. (I even voted for Dole, but enough is enough!)

I’m suggesting that McCain just suspend campaigning of any sort until after Labor Day. Let B.O. have all the spotlight and watch him twist himself into a pretzel.
A side benefit is that conservatives get to stop being enraged for the summer.

Sorry, but I don’t trust him on any of those issues. He’s already said he’d appoint Democrats in his cabinet and wants to reach out to the other side (ala: McCain/Feingold, McCain/Kennedy, McCain/Looserman, etc.)
I have no use for him whatsoever and don’t trust him for a moment.
And since he kinda’ think he’s mainstream, I could easily see him picking Her Royal Thighness as his running mate . . . especially after all the glowing things he said about her a couple nights ago: I though he was going to plant a kiss on her big fat a$$.
Sorry . . . not in this lifetime. This is an awful year for our country . . . just awful.

I will vote for him, but since he thinks money corrupts politics, I’m not going to give him any and contribute to his corruption.
Also, I’m not entirely sure he’s for smaller government nor do I think he’s committed to securing our borders. He’ll have to convince me on both counts.
I do think he’s right on the WOT and that’s the main issue I’m voting on.

Freepers have two choices:
1: vote for McCain
or
2: vote for socialism, higher taxes and curtailed liberty.
Only DUmmies will vote #2.
To: jveritas

John McCain for all his faults
or
Barrack Hussein (Mugabe-Amin-Che-Marx-Lenin-Stalin) Obama

A choice between (declaring)Victory against Islamic Terrorism and pulling out prematurely the first time a Senate surrender bill hits his desk or surrender to our terrorist enemy.
A choice between free market capitalist economy or socialism. Which one is the capitalist? It is not McCain. His Cap and Trade belies that title.
A choice between constructionist judges or liberal judges who legislate from the bench. There is no way McCain will nominate more than one constructionist judge. Once that one is shot down, you will see no difference in the judges selected.
A choice between Life for the unborn or abortion on demand going wild. McCain has only “gone along” on this plank. I’ll be surprised if the pro-life plank is there after the convention.
A choice between lower taxes or higher taxes. (guffaws) McCain will not lower taxes - he has the Senate disease.
A choice between big government or bigger government.
Not much of a choice there for me. You are welcome to trust McCain’s words over his actions of the last few years. I cannot lower my standards that much.
