WASHINGTON - An emboldened Barack Obama browbeat Sen. Joe Lieberman on the Senate floor after the self-proclaimed "Independent Democrat" slammed the candidate on behalf of Republican John McCain.
Flexing his new power as the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, Obama greeted Lieberman, a prominent McCain backer, on the Senate floor Wednesday - then promptly led him by the hand to a back corner to give him a talking-to.

Something I’ve noticed about leftists is that for all their talk about liberty, they’re really just totalitarians. I know an Obama supporter who says that we really need to make people get a license to be parents. He also thought it would be a good idea to nuke the San Andreas fault and preemptively cause an earthquake after evacuating everyone from the area. I suggested that we take some of the global warming money to reimburse cat owners and kill all cats because they’re the 3rd leading cause of food-illness related deaths and that we could save a lot of lives this way. He seemed dubious of that, but I don’t know if he has a cat. Hey, if you’re going to nuke the San Andreas in the hopes of avoiding earthquake deaths, why not for sure save a lot of lives by confiscating and killing all the cats?
He's arrogant...as we learned when he thought the mics were off in San Fransisco, and this is just punctuating that.

I think people should lay off these “hood thug” comments. I really don’t think Obama comes across that way. He comes off like the Harvard trained lawyer he is.
Lieberman’s offer to speak at the Republican convention is a BIG THREAT. There seems to be extra effort this year to win the Jewish vote, because it’s not going hard core for Obama. I mentioned to a friends who is a Hillary supporter that Joe offered to speak at the GOP convention and she looked at me like, ‘oh my gosh, what am I going to do now?’
