“... a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany ... and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Obama” - Barack Obama Lebanon, New Hampshire.
January 7, 2008.

The above quote is from the link you referred me to.

Here is an Obama quote I got in e-mail from hubby today:

“My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you’ll join with me as we try to change it.”

- Barack Obama

Priceless, no?

Concerning that second quote, from a column by Mark Steyn:

http://www.ocregister.com/articles/obama-speech-remake-2061941-sen-great

A few months back, just after the New Hampshire primary, a Canadian reader of mine – John Gross of Quebec – sent me an all-purpose stump speech for the 2008 campaign:

"My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it."

I thought this was so cute, I posted it on the Web at National Review. Whereupon one of those Internetty-type things happened, and three links and a Google search later the line was being attributed not to my correspondent but to Sen. Obama, and a few weeks after that I started getting e-mails from reporters from Florida to Oregon, asking if I could recall at which campaign stop the senator, in fact, uttered these words.

No. Tell your hubby that this was said by John Gross of Quebec several months ago in an email to Mark Steyn about an all-purpose 2008 stump speech, not by Barack Obama. Steyn mentioned it in a short piece at National Review Online. Shortly afterward, he began getting email asking him about where he had heard BO say it. He wrote another column on the matter.

The seminal quote, imo, from that site, which sums up these zombies.

"...Obama has this almost irrational following and I myself can't sometimes explain why I'm supporting him," Noah Norman, 25, recently told the Washington Post. "He's all things to all men. At least that's how I put it."

And these idiots get intemperate when I use the term "obamabot." They need to start blaming themselves for half this nation both laughing at them, and being terrified of them.
