It will be interesting to see if Obama does happen to win the presidency, how she will worm her way up to the dais when he’s taking his oath of office to stand next to him and raise her hand and take the oath with him.

And while she’s doing that, I’d like to see the cat fight ensue between her and Michelle, my belle, to push her away.

Mrs. Clinton will be the nominee and be defeated by McCain. Wonder boy Barry will not know what hit him.

Have you heard that Barry has instructed the media?

RUSH: In the Washington Post, in a story on Obama meets with Clinton, listen to this by Jonathan Weisman and Shailagh Murray: "Obama said he 'appreciated very much' the statement, and he instructed reporters to dismiss all speculation about possible running mates. He said he will neither discuss the selection process nor parade prospects in public," as McCain has. He instructed the media. Oh, fine. I love people that talk tough with the media, don't misunderstand. But who else but Obama could get away with instructing them? They write here, "they have been instructed." He knows they will follow his demand. Can you imagine McCain instructing the media to not cover certain things and them going along with it? Here's what Obama actually said to them that led to this report, Obama instructed reporters to dismiss all speculation.

OBAMA: The next time you hear from me about the vice presidential selection process will be when I have selected a vice president, and if you hear secondhand accounts, rumors, gossip about the selection process, you can take it from me that it is wrong, because we're not going to be talking about it in the press.

RUSH: We're not going to be talking about it. So he didn't use the word instruct, but from that little statement, Jonathan Weisman and Shailagh Murray said, "and then he instructed reporters to dismiss all speculation." So they wrote it up. He didn't even say it; they just took it that way. He admonished the media, and the media doesn't want to be embarrassed, the media does not want to disappoint the messiah, Obama. The other bite, this is just this afternoon in Chicago, 2016 US Olympic pep rally with athletes. This is what Obama said. I think he thinks he's elected already.

OBAMA: In 2016, I'll be wrapping up my second term as president. (cheers and applause)

RUSH: Did you hear any humor in that? Didn't sound like there was any humor in that. "In 2016 I'll be wrapping up my second term."

I have been a Rush fan for many years. But this year I believe the wheels to his bus have gone flat. He pumped up his ego with OC, but he hasn't done squat to help hold off the leftist onslaught now headed by Barry Obama and co.

This past week, a caller made the point to Rush that he was failing to promote conservatism by instead promoting a democrat sweep, to 'instruct the nation as to how needed conservative principles are.' The caller was spot on and Rush totally missed the significance of that call!

Folks want to tout talk radio as somehow blunting the propaganda power of mainstream media, but in reality the sheeple are lost to the realities and men like Rush are failing to educate those who will listen who are not already sequestered in 'lie'beralism. McCain IS the alternative we must support at this time. I don't like it, I don't trust McCain to not cave in on taxes, military spending, troop withdrawals, and the border, as he would be up against democrap control of House and Senate. But he is the only alternative to final capitulation which the nation will not recover from this time.

Only in a contrast will the people have a chance to see how bad the democrap party is. With Barry Obama in the White House, democrat control of House and Senate, AND media propaganda flowing incessantly, daily, the people will have zero contrast to help educate them to the reason for the destruction democrat control will accomplish.

Rush is making himself a 'hasbeen' ... think about how long his pompous butt will last with complete democrat control to institute the fairness doctrine! Maybe Rush has all he wants now and is ready to retire and play golf every day. As he currently postures himself, he sure isn't a leader for conservatism in the impending war to be waged. Operation Chaos accomplished one thing, and only one thing: it made the dems spend millions in a protracted battle for the nomination. Soros will replenish the coffers before the sun sets! BUT, OC also exposed the democrat voter apathy which will embrace an empty suit and remain clueless, while making a sham of vetting the Obamamessiah. The shock factor of Obama's leftist mindset is now blunted and forgettable, for the vast majority of democrap voters who don't care so long as the demcorats win in '08. Much blood and treasure will be lost because of such foolishness, foolishness which Rush has in no way redirected or blunted!

McCain on the other hand wants to cut taxes even more.

McCain wants HSAs and market forces to lower prices, i.e., freedom.

You're wasting your breath. Let me tell you why.

McCain's biggest problem with conservatives is that, outside of Iraq and the WOT, they don't trust him.

For example, McCain might say that he wants to lower taxes, but he voted against the Bush tax cuts. Moreover, he has a demonstrable history of a.) decidedly non-conservative legislation (McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, McCain-Lieberman, etc.) and b.) rank political opportunism and disloyalty to the party and conservative principles.

Nothing you can say will convince many conservatives to trust McCain and take him at his word. They have good reason to doubt him.

As for myself, yes, I will vote for McCain -- but without enthusiasm. I don't trust him either. But he is better than the alternatives, whom I can trust to do the wrong thing in every imaginable instance.

Accordingly, citing McCain's "conservative" positions -- on anything other than Iraq -- is pointless. Those who distrust him aren't going to suddenly trust him because he said these things or because you say they should.

We'd all be better off if we let the Great McCain Schism rest for awhile.

McCain's got almost five months to earn conservative votes. Maybe he'll throw a bone our way. Or maybe he won't...

In any event, there is no reason for conservatives to be enthusiastic about the McCain candidacy. But, in the end, hopefully most will be grimly determined...

I was thinking that, too, but it probably still serves her purpose to be marries to the old rapist. If bill just *happens* to die (Arkancide) she would be such a sympathetic figure. Just like obama should watch his back, bill should watch his own. The demise of either one could catapult her back in the running.

Rush was not about getting Hiliary the nomination...but delaying the primary contest...and he was successful at doing that.

And you are wrong about Rush getting us to stay home in NOV. He has never said that. But McPain is a nuisance...he needs to wake up and he won’t if conservatives don’t make him.
