Punitive taxes are never really levied against a company.
They are levied against you and I and disguised as a tax on business.

Oil company earnings are TERRIBLE.
They do not suck oil out of the ground. They buy it on the open market. Most oil’s original owner is governments. The oil companies have very little left.

I was thinking the same thing - very, very disturbing.
I read that California will earn 5 billion in STATE taxes from fuel (at the current price per gallon) in 2003 CA made 2.1 billion. - this doesn’t even count for federal tax on gas. Government is the one who is making alot of money - and now Obama want more - and acts like it’s the gas companies who are greedy. It is obvious who is the greedy one.
Now that would be impressive
