A poem written by a 10-year old boy from Ness Ziona, in which he describes the life of a bomb-maker named Ahmed who specializes in killing Jews, was included in a booklet published by the city's municipality after it was accepted into a poetry competition. The poem offended the Israeli Arabs who saw it in the booklet, and following an appeal made by Ynet the municipality decided to remove it.
The poem reads as follows:
Ahmed's bunker has surprises galore: Grenades, rifles are hung on the wall. Ahmed is planning another bomb! What a bunker Ahmed has, who causes daily harm. Ahmed knows how to make a bomb. Ahmed is Ahmed, that's who he is, so don't forget to be careful of him. We get blasted while they have a blast! Ahmed and his friends could be wealthy and sunny, if only they wouldn't buy rockets with all their money.
According to the Arabs who read the poem, it is racist and incites hatred among Arabs and Jews. Ibrahim Abu-Shindi, who manages the Arab community center in Jaffa, said the blame lies squarely on the shoulders of the State and its leaders. "I'm not surprised by this story because all that Jewish children know from television is the Hamas man as a terrorist and a murderer."

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
“I’m not surprised by this story because all that Jewish children know from television is the Hamas man as a terrorist and a murderer.”
Yeah....and if the shoe fits, pal.....
It’s not racist to call a terrorist a terrorist.
We are so constrained by political correctness, we have to rely on children to state the obvious.
It was a child who said, The Emperor has no clothes!”
Is that a little bit of projecting in his part? How many cartoon characters have been teaching Israeli children to kill?

Unfortunately, the truth is no defense against alleged racism.

Yeah, I guess the islamists are the innocent party.
Does Israel have a tv show for kids with a Mickey Mouse figure preaching religious intolerance and holy war?
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
Achmed Bunker? Let me guess . . . he called his son-in-law Porkhead.
Yes, Farfur.
They blow up so fast.
Yep, I’m sure that it’s all because of the EVIL television that this young child has formed these opinions. I’m sure it has NOTHING to do with being afraid of being blown up on a daily basis, or having to attend school with people guarding them with AK-47s in case a suicide bomber or terrorist shows up. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the attacks on his fellow citizens that have occurred so often in his daily life. I’m also sure it has nothing to do with the fact that Israeli children have to be taught how to avoid kidnappings, and what to do in the case of a terrorist attack in order to be safe. /sarcasm
Granted, I’m not condoning the thought that ALL Arabs - particularly those who live in peace in Israel are terrorists, but for the person quoted in the article to blame the State of Israel and television is so incredibly naive. And, no, I don’t REALLY believe that person is that naive, it’s just a way for them to dismiss the truth of what this young man has witnessed in his life - most likely first-hand. Another interesting thing is that the man quoted specifically mentions Hamas - well, what in the WORLD do they expect people to think of them? Actions speak louder than words, and it’s no wonder that this child associates Hamas with the terrorism he has witnessed and the war he himself lived through.
Thanks for the ping. (I was called racist today for noting that Islamists would kill a political woman professional [loudmouth] like me if the same men who committed 9-11 took over in our Nation. I thought Muslim/Islam was a religion/world view and included members of several races.)
What about me ?
I'm neither jewish nor a child . Oh, and I don't watch TV
And, Mr. Hypocrite, what shall we say about the muslims perception and portrayal of Jews?
So asinine. It assumes all Arabs are Muslim. I have news for them. It really annoys me that Arabs equals Islam. Not all Arabs are Muslims. Many Arabs are Christians and Jewish. Some Arabs have become prominent like John Elway, Harold Ramis, Benny Hinn, Kristy McNichols, and Anissa Jones. I wonder what the Arab terrorists have to make of this? Yeah, some would be deemed infidels.
