Rupert Everett has apologised for calling soldiers "wimps" and suggesting they went into the Army to torture prisoners.
The 49-year-old star of My Best Friend's Wedding - and the son of a retired Army major - had been quoted in a newspaper criticising soldiers for whining.

I notice he’s never signed up to serve his country. What a wimp! :p
He’s not sorry...he’s just afraid that he PO’d the wrong people. Turns out, as regards his own (sickening) convictions, he’s the wimp.
I say BOYCOTT seeing any of his stuff and that is all I can say that is fit to type.
“Daddy! Look at me, Daddy! Love me Daddy! DADDY!!!!!”
What a neurotic twit!

And before that, most of them died of disease....
Rupert couldn’t pass a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy because you wouldn’t even have to ask.
What is a boycott supposed to achieve? Usually, it is done to affect change, and I could understand if he was unrepentent about what he said, but he has already apologised. Can anyone here say they have never said something crass, offensive and stupid in their lifetime?
From the age of 7 he was educated at Farleigh School, Hampshire, and later was educated by Benedictine monks at Ampleforth College, Yorkshire, but he dropped out of school aged 15 and ran away to London to become an actor. In order to support himself, he worked as a male prostitute, or “rent boy”, for drugs and money as he later admitted to US magazine in 1997.[2] After being dismissed from the Central School of Speech and Drama for insubordination, he travelled to Scotland and got a job at the Citizens’ Theatre in Glasgow.
